BELFOR Property Restoration (San Diego)

Horrible. Unprofessional. Rude. Damaged my custom cabinets. Took 2 years to get my kitchen back. Never going to recommend these guys, even as a last resort.

Worst company to deal with. It has been 4 months of living in 3 rooms of my house. No communication. Don’t show up when they say they will. Try to go cheap on everything to make extra money. If you hire them make sure you are watching the job they do. Only reason I gave two stars were the subcontracted flooring guys were great and the people that textured the walls did a decent job otherwise would have been no stars.

I live in a ground floor condo unit. From recent rains, I suffered water damage to the dining room ceiling from the unit above mine. At the request of my insurance adjuster, I hired one company to do the demo work, another to do the restoration. Understandably, my greatest concern was for the restoration work; In the end, it all comes down to that. For the restoration phase I chose Belfor Restoration. To get things started, estimator Carlos Rodriguez wasted no time in getting to see me. He took pictures, made notes and said he would get right on it. And so he did. I've read glorious reviews, yet, also numerous horror stories about various construction companies. Never having been in this kind of position before, I didn't know who would be sent for the necessary repairs. I had to take a chance with whoever the field representative was that would be sent out to finish my project. I'll have to admit, not knowing who was coming gave me a slight case of anxiety. After all, the company is only as good as the person that shows up at your door. As it turned out, my fears though would soon be laid to rest. I rely a great deal on my first impression of the people I meet, and for the most part, I'm usually right. To kick things off, on day one, restoration specialist, Albert Ramirez showed up as he said he would, right on time - to the minute - 8:30 a.m. My anxiety eased. He was professional in his approach to restoration. In one instance, he added a cherry flavored packet (upon my approval) to a humidifier. I thought that was a nice touch. It did a fantastic job at covering over unwanted odors. As work proceeded, he always kept me informed about the various aspects of the restoration. It soon became apparent, when it came to quality of work, Albert was a perfectionist, a great quality to have. He wouldn't walk away from the project until everything was just perfect. That suited me just fine. As the restoration was nearing completion, the repair of my popcorn ceiling resulted with a couple of minor stains. Truth be told, I didn't expect the ceiling to look the way it had before the water damage took place. When Albert saw the stained area the following morning, he shook his head, and said, "That won't do. I'll take care of it." I never had to say a word about it to him. When the restoration was complete, to my astonishment, if such a thing was possible, the appearance of the popcorn ceiling looked even better than it had before the water damage had taken place. I'm happy to say that that was an unexpected surprise. Needless to say, I heartily recommend this company for your restoration needs. A hot water pipe started leaking inside a wall on a Friday night. Our insurance company recommended Belfor and we called them. The first responder was on site Saturday morning. He started the drying out process with fans and heating units. After drying out the wall, the demolition and repair started. During the entire project, their workers were careful to keep the area sealed off and make sure our indoor pets stayed inside. After knocking down the damaged wall and restoring, there's no sign we ever had a problem inside. I recommend Belfor for damage and restoration.

Terrible contractors and service . They told us we would be back in our home by Thanksgiving…It’s now Feb with little progress. Have had several different project mgrs , poor communication no one looking over the subcontractors

Techs did a great job. They were professional and well spoken. I would certainly do business with them again.

Horrible experience! They dont have any interest in doing a good job , they just want to take your insurance money! Use any one local but not Beflor!
