had a few minor plumbing issues that I had been putting off repairing. The local plumber we used for many years was bought by a larger national firm so I looked around for a new local company and found Ehrhardt. Called the office and spoke to Catherine and had the service scheduled a few days later. Vince and Matt came out, on time, and quickly checked everything off the list. They were both very polite, professional and willing to entertain my dumb-home-owner questions. Will definitely be calling Ehrhardt again in the future. PS - will update in a few weeks once we have a chance to put the repairs through their paces.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! We had Earhardt come out to inspect a plumbing issue after a weekend emergency and cannot say enough wonderful things! The company who initially came out not only mis-diagnosed our issue but quoted a bid that was very high and told us they had to dig up our basement floor to fix the problem. Yikes! Earhardt came in, figured out the real issue and charged us less than their initial bid and never had to dig up our floor - thankfully. Overall they saved us over $5000! We would definitely recommend Earhardt for their quick response, honesty, and coming in under their own bid. Thank you!

Very mixed experience with this company. Ultimately, their plumber, Vince, was wonderful. However, there was a significant discrepancy in how much they were going to charge me for warranty work in replacing my faulty AO Smith water heater. Ehrhardt is a certified contractor for doing AO Smith warranty work. When I called for an explanation of why the price mysteriously doubled over the course of a week, I was condescended to and, I felt, double-talked. A simple apology for what was likely a mistake on their part would have been much more professional and acceptable. I asked to speak with the owner or someone else in authority for an explanation. While I was told messages were left for the owner to call me, no one has had the courtesy to call back. I don’t like leaving a negative review, particularly because Vince was so good and other employees were very nice during the process. But someone should have called me back so we could discuss what was a $600 difference from one week to the next. I did not feel like a valued customer. In the end, I called my regular plumber who thankfully is able to do the work for a reasonable price. Update: thank you so much for your clear, thorough, and prompt reply. I wish someone had taken the time to simply call me and try to explain this in the first place. I want to clear up a few things, though. First, I never once suggested you owed me some great discounted rate for a new install. The installation by the original plumber was not the problem. It was a faulty water heater, which is on AO Smith. It’s just that one week your quote was 600 for an install and the next week it was 1200. I have no idea what changed with AO Smith in that week, but I readily accept your representation that the increase was based on something AO Smith did. Second, the only reason there was no charge for your visits to me is because it was under warranty, I think. Vince, who was really terrific, came out once to diagnose and a second time to replace a control board. Your response implies that I received services from you "at no charge" for something other than the warranty coverage to which I think I was entitled under the terms of the warranty. Finally, I am not sure what you mean by extensive phone consultations. I think I spoke maybe twice with your water heater specialist who does most of her communication through email. The other longer call to your office was when your other employee erroneously billed me $380 for warranty work, for which she promptly apologized, and we were able to resolve that issue with a call. She was very nice and I appreciate her clearing that up. In closing, I genuinely appreciate your thoughtful response. I just wish you had called to clear this up. I’m still available anytime. There is no better plumbing company in Howard County as far as I am concerned. I have used Ehrhardt several times over the years and always found them to be skilled and reasonable. My most recent experience, however, was second to none. On Saturday, we noticed the smell of gas in our home and called BGE to respond. BGE confirmed the leak and shut off gas service to the entire house. I called Ehrhardt at the open of regular business on Monday with the prospect of a family of 5 set to arrive later in the day for a weeklong visit being greeted with cold showers and no homecooked meals as both the hot water and stove are on gas. Although Ehrhardt was booked solid until later in the week under regular scheduling, the owner himself understood the situation and personally came to my home with another technician to check the lines and fix the leak with hours to spare. I recommend Ehrhardt without hesitation since they provide all of the services of the "bigger companies" without losing the small business customer service.

Just had a great experience getting a new hot water heater installed from Ehrhardt Brothers. Tracy went the extra mile to quickly locate a special order unit, the crew was great, and the price was exactly half the amount of the other estimate we had. Honest, professional. Outstanding.

Called Ehrhardt Brother's here in Columbia because purchased a New LG washer & Dryer and the guys who delivered it couldn't hookup the washing machine because of corrosion on the old hookup. Vince came out and took care of everything & fast! This is the 2nd time I've called Ehrhardt over the years and I won't ever call anybody else! Both times Vince came out and is so knowledgeable and professional and gets the job done! He is such a gentleman and I know his parents are very proud of him!:)

Called Ehrhardt Brothers Plumbing to replace a washer drip pan. I got their name from my HOA recommended plumbing company. The process of scheduling an appointment was easy and quick. I was fortunate that they were able to send a professional out within 2 hours. Rob showed up on time, get to work immediately. Although it was a challenge for a one person but he did not give up. We worked together to move out the stacked washer and dryer, and he improvised a solution. He was professional, respectfu, knowledgeable, and completed the work as requested promptly.
