Coastal Roofing handled our project with honesty, professionalism, and an exceptional level of communication. Shawn from Coastal was remarkably responsive and detail-oriented, keeping us informed at every step and handling unexpected issues with patience and confidence. Our roof — a Westlake/Unified Steel metal barrel-tile system with Sol-R Skin Blue underlayment — was something few in the Tallahassee area had ever encountered. Even the City building inspector initially refused to approve the Sol-R Skin Blue underlayment because he couldn’t locate a Florida product code. Shawn personally worked with the inspector, providing documentation, educating him on the product, and ultimately securing the required approval. Coastal Roofing installed the underlayment under the direct supervision of a corporate representative from Westlake/Unified Steel, who remained on-site for the entire multi-day project — from the first layer to the final tile. Once the underlayment was complete, Coastal coordinated with a specialized installation team who handled the placement of the steel barrel tiles with exceptional precision and craftsmanship. The result was outstanding. The Westlake representative, who stayed through completion, repeatedly commented on the quality of the work from start to finish. Coastal’s organization, code compliance, and customer communication paired perfectly with the technical mastery of the installation crew. In the end, Coastal Roofing managed the project flawlessly, navigating permitting challenges, overseeing manufacturer supervision, and ensuring the highest level of quality control. The finished roof is both stunning and technically advanced — a testament to Coastal’s leadership and commitment to doing things the right way.

They were efficient and quick. The people we spoke to were courteous and knowledgeable. The person who created the quote was honest and upfront and I felt like he explained things in a way I could understand. My partner and I are super happy with the quality of the work done. In fact, they were so swift and efficient, we didn't even notice the work had been done for a few days. I will make a note that we were not given a date and time to expect any workmen over to do the repair. I don't know if that communication got lost in my cluttered email inbox or missed phone call. I'm also not certain if that is normal for repair work. We're new to this sort of thing. Regardless, the criticism is mild and not worth removing rating as we are over all very happy.

My roof was REALLY bad, and boy did it give this company a run for their money! It did not all go as planned but everyone was fast and efficient to fix any problems that came up. Lane was amazing and was here for me every step of the way. Kyle and Shawn were also super helpful and supportive. The office staff, Sarah, Kasey and Brooks have all been nice, amazing and knowledgeable. The roofers worked until 7:00 and were able to get the job done in a day. I am so thankful for that! What a great experience working with Coastal Roofing for our reroof. Drew and Kyle and team managed every step of the process exactly as they said it would happen. They were on time and always answered promptly about any questions we had. Absolutely a great choice out of the many estimates we got. They were the only company to follow up on the estimate they provided to see if we had any questions and to ask for our business. Very satisfied with the work and how great it looks.

Came home after work to find every entrance to my home blocked- garage, front door and back door- all covered with torn off roofing debris, including sharp nails and old shingles. It was clear there was no care taken to keep walkways clear or accessible. I had to carefully climb over a pile of debris just to get inside, nearly injuring myself on exposed nails in the process and almost getting hit by debris thrown by the workers as I was walking past. The lack of basic safety precautions was shocking. It seemed like no one was managing the site or thinking about the people who actually lived there. If you value safety, professionalism, or respect of your property, I'd recommend staying far away from this company.

Amazing service! The crew was very polite and courteous. They picked up after themselves and the job was done in two days. I also didn't have to wait weeks for them to start working on my roof. They explain everything to me, were very upfront and honest about the final cost. There were no big cost surprises at the end like I had heard happens with other companies. Highly recommend.
