We were needing our basement waterproofed and my husband found Dry Otter online and they had great reviews. They were prompt in coming to assess our situation and very knowledgeable. They were reasonably priced and did a great job. Noah, Corey and Jam were friendly, professional and made sure the job was done correctly. Thank you!

I decided on encapsultating the crawlspace of my house to improve its air quality as I have COPD. It has a dirtfloor, and much of the space is tall enough to walk in. Our A/C and furnace as well as the water treatment equipment and hot water heater are housed in this area. The humidity in the crawlspace was too high and would support the growth of mold, especially during a rainy season. Another big clue was that the crawlspace felt like it was air conditioned or heated, even with no air vents down there. The house has always been dusty even with the windows closed and the air conditioner on. It became evident that the bulk of the air in the house was being sucked into the central air system from the crawl space, with its damp dirt floors. The house has an in-law suite in our walkout basement. The dampness of the crawlspace seeps through the common block/brick wall separating the two spaces. Any furnishings touching this wall were prone to mildew. Not good! I tried running a dehumidifier in the suite, but that was futile. It needed to be emptied 3 or 4 times a day, but somehow it was never emptied often enough. I checked with other friends and family members to see if they had done this with their properties, and surprisingly everyone I checked with, already had done this. I asked them why, and they sited reasons similar to mine, so I made the decision to proceed. The next question became what company should I choose to do this. When talking to my friends and family members about this, I also asked them who did thier work, why did they choose them, and were they satisfied. Generally speaking the feedback was mostly an unenthusiastic shrug of the shoulders while saying they just went with the company that had the lowest price, until I spoke to one that had used Dry Otter Waterproofing. For me, the difference in price between companies with comparable materials and eqipment was not drastic enough to make price the sole determinant. The character and work ethic of the people that keep the company running make all the difference. I'm sure most people have had experiences with workers whose work was sloppy and half hazard. To the contrary, I was very pleased with all the people I interfaced with at Dry Otter. You've probably heard the expression that you never get a second chance to make a good first impression. It's true with businesses as well. Starting with the people in the office. They are pleasant, patient, well organized and knowledgeable in their areas of responsibility. I recall speaking with Carmyn. They put in touch with Tyler Gregg. He was a really good sales person. I'm not sure that was his title, but effectively that was his function. He was not high pressure. He was knowledgeable not only about the equipment and materials they used but also the competitions. He encouraged me to call him anytime I had a question or concern, and I did. Anytime I called, he was prompt in returning the call, and had the information I needed. Then came the most important part of the transaction - the installation of the materials and equipment. Will and Josh worked hard for two days. They were so polite and informative about what they would be doing. They checked with me on what I wanted done. They took pictures so I could see the details of the extensive hard work they had done. I could not have been happier. They took pride in their work and it showed. Every company would be happy to have workers with the dedication to doing a good job that these two young men had. Thank-you, Will and Josh. While they were on the job, the build manager came by to check on everything to see that all was well. I'm glad I chose Dry Otter Waterproofing. Give them a call, even if you just want more information on the process.

I had a great overall experience with Dry Otter Waterproofing that started with Mike Frazier. He thoroughly examined my crawl space and explained what my options were. He answered all my questions and was very professional, knowledgeable, and polite. Corey and Trey showed up to do the work and did a great job! They were hard working, knowledgeable, and polite as well. I highly recommend this company as I am very happy with their service and final product.

Bottom line: Dry Otter did a great job. Would hire again. Worked through hurricane, torrential rain and power outage to get the job done. Full story: We hired Dry Otter to waterproof our full basement in our older home. We had been getting water coming in during big rains. They came out, gave a fair price and we scheduled the job. Well it just so happened that the week of our installation was the same day as when Hurricane Helene came through Charlotte… So it was torrential rain and very difficult working conditions. In fact, on the last day we lost power due to the storm. But the guys did a great job and powered through working in the dark. They got the job done. And we feel much more comfortable now knowing our basement is dry. Special thanks to Josh and Luis for working so hard and in rough conditions. I’d strongly recommend Dry Otter for any basement waterproofing, crawlspace encapsulation, foundation repair, or even mold remediation services in Charlotte, NC. Thanks guys!

I had some moisture issues I wanted to solve before redoing my wooden floors. Cody, Louise and Tristen did a full encapsulation and were great to work with. I had an unaffiliated plumber in the crawlspace right afterwards and he said they did a great job.
