The whole experience from the first phone communication until final county inspection was great. Hathaway did all of the coordination with the gas company and the JCC electrical and gas inspectors. Truly a turn key installation. They started sharp at 7:30 AM and finished complete installation by 1:30 PM. I am an Engineer by trade and I follow folks around when they are working on my house. I couldn't be happier with the installation. Two days after final inspection we lost power for a short period. The generator and transfer system worked flawlessly.

I used Hathaway once and tried to use them again, but couldn't get them to even show up. The first time we used them was to convert some breakers in our breaker box and run a new line for a window ac unit. They did the work in a day. Not invasive at all. Worked fairly quickly. However, they did not finish putting the breaker box back together. They needed to put some spacers in and put the cover back up. They told me they would be back the next day. Several days later I had to call them back to come finish. Minor hiccup, but good work all in all. My second attempt to use them was just awful. I sent them an email on a Sunday using their website requesting some work done and a qoute for some other work. I called them the following Thursday morning after not hearing from them. Apparently they did not get my email. Strange because I got a confirmation it had gone through. So I set up the work for the following Monday. I am subsequently called Friday afternoon that they have to reschedule the work to be done to Thursday and the quote for the Tuesday after that. I agree to the rescheduling process but now I have to leave work early on Thursday. The window of time I'm given is for 3-5pm. I waited until 5:25 to call them because their office closes at 5:30. Their technician wasn't any where close to my house! Why couldn't I be called to let me know they couldn't make it? I wasted 2 hours of leave time. Just very bad customer service. Steer clear of these guys.

Doesn't like small jobs. Won't call you back despite waiting for a tech to show up on two occasions for a total of 8 hours waiting time. FOLLOWUP TO OWNER RESPONSE: Bold faced lie that they came out to the house and gave estimate 2 days later. No one ever came to my house.

Amy and her team are our Go-To electrical experts for both of our businesses and our home. We just switched both of our stores to LED lighting and Hathaway to do the job. Hathaway's Team was prompt, responsive and left the place better than when they started the work. Our stores are now more energy efficient, better lit and present a better work environment for our team and our clients. Lastly, the cost of the work was lower than anticipated. GREAT PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION!

No showed twice. The first time we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We do understand companies are busy and short staffed. They did not bother to call, so we called and rescheduled. The second time we were told someone was on their way and still, no one came. Why bother rescheduling if you don't plan on showing up? Don't waste your time or energy on a company that is too busy for it's customers.....

Customer beware. Overpriced, took 3 months of prodding and rework on minor jobs. Covid is no excuse for unqualified employees. If you can’t perform to your quoted job, don’t submit a bid. The response provided below by Hathaway was not accurate. After being told the product was back ordered and very expensive, I found the item at Lowe’s and provided the info to Hathaway. This was the item installed in my home. This morning, 10/2/2020, during an annual York County Fire Station inspection of my smoke detectors the fire inspector looked at the smoke detectors and determined Hathaway had used a smoke detector connection to complete one of the "jobs" contracted for recently. It must be rewired because it should never have been used for the outlet. When the light is turned off, it disables all the smoke detectors in my home. This is the type of incompetence that was used for this relatively minor service.theycharged me over $1,000 for.
