Carlita worked her magic on my grandmother’s 1952 Tappan range. While I’ve done my best keeping the stove in good shape, it was time to call in the professionals. Carlita did a comprehensive review on FaceTime and helped me determine what should be done to keep the stove functional and beautiful. Her team came to my house (a considerable distance) and cleaned, adjusted the burners, and checked all the mechanics. Carlita also sent out the burner plates and components for re-enameling and re-coating. The stove looks spectacular and works beautifully. I get compliments on it constantly, and I credit Carlita for making it possible. Don’t give up on your vintage stove! Mine is over 70 years old and going strong.

By sheer coincidence, it turns out Carlita's father had serviced the same old South Bend range 30 years ago (that no-one else in the universe even knows how to fix, not even South Bend!) and Carlita herself did it 10 years ago. Because there was a slight smell of gas, Belgrove came immediately and knew exactly what to do to fix it properly. She is a stove whisperer, if there were 50 or 100 stars, would not be enough. We spent years limping along with a finicky old stove while we tried in vain to find someone to repair it. It was leaking gas, the oven door didn’t quite close, the pilots didn’t work, but we loved it and refused to give up on it. Then we found The Stove Lady aka Belgrove appliance. Our stove is back and it is in perfect working condition, everything is fixed and it is squeaky clean. We are delighted. Carlita is conscientious, professional, fair, and kind. Our Blue Star oven would stop working after about 20 minutes. The electricity would shut off without tripping the circuit breaker. Carlita spoke to Blue Star and they recommended a part. When that part arrived and didn't work Carlita called the company and spoke to a few different parties. Through Carlita's persistence, they eventually provided a different part which they had never mentioned before. Carlita had them provide the part, at no cost, and then installed the part, again at no cost. The oven now works! We had this problem for years and no other repair company was able to resolve it. I highly recommend Belgrove Appliance. Carlita gets personally involved and will assure that your appliance will be repaired.

I have a 50+ year old stove that has served my family very well but for a number of years, one of the tracks that one of two broiler tray slides on had broken and I was unable to either fix it myself or find a local repair shop that without first charging an exorbitant service charge to come out and look at would even consider it. An internet search one evening led me to Belgrove Appliance and I decided to drop them an email that evening explaining my problem. Imagine my surprise when in a matter of minutes, I had a response from Carlita which began a very helpful e-mail conversation in which photos and measurements were requested and provided so that Carlita could make 100% sure that the part that they believed would fit would actually be the right one. To make a long story short, the part just arrived this evening and it fit perfectly and my stove is back in full service for the first time in years. Based on my very positive experience, I would definitely recommend Belgrove Appliance to anyone that might need to have someone who knows what they are doing, someone they can trust and someone who can provide exactly what you need at a reasonable cost.
