Acker Heating & Cooling

Technician came to look at error code on unit. After unwiring dampers the unit stopped working. The tech left the unit in worst shape and left panel off outside unit. Called owner to discuss $1200 labor bill for changing a board that needed to be ordered. Owner said it was not under warranty, the money was for the board not labor. Not sure if anyone knows what's going on. All this after a $35000 dollar install. I've had condensate floods, control malfunctions, problem after problem. Ill be giving someone else my business, that appreciates my business.

After being informed by a company—let’s call them "X Heating and Cooling"—that my system would require $4,800 in repairs, I decided to seek a second opinion based on recommendations from the Oglethorpe County Facebook community. Several people suggested Acker Heating and Cooling, and I am so glad I followed their advice. The technician from Acker was courteous, knowledgeable, and thorough. Within 40 minutes, he had my system up and running. In contrast, the technician from Company X spent only about 15 minutes on-site before providing his so-called "educated" diagnosis. I highly recommend Acker Heating and Cooling for their professionalism, integrity, and excellent service.

I had an ac drain stop up in my attic. It was causing a leak in my hallway. Called Acker and they said they would have someone out in the afternoon. He didn’t arrive until 6:30 pm. The guy could barely walk and had a really ugly attitude. He was either drunk or really old. He could’nt see where the joists were in my attic because of the new insulation was not marked. So he climbed down and told me, "Well, I just wasted my time coming over here." And hobbled out of my garage and got in his van and left. His attitude was not a good representation of this company. Y’all really need to let this retire before he falls and breaks a hip.

Excellent service!! The technicians were very courteous & respectful. Questions were answered with patience and they provided understandable explanations. Daniel and Ryan came and serviced my AC unit and we were extremely pleased of the professionalism of these two young men! They gave us a honest diagnosis and showed us what they were doing, and also the readings from their monitors to show whether we were in range or out of range.

The Acker guys installed my furnace 10 years ago and have maintained it since. My 45 year old condenser failed last night and the Acker tech was here at 10am, had the problem diagnosed by 11am, and had the problem fixed by noon. Top notch service all around
