Update: I received a call from the company after posting this review and they were very sincere in wanting to know what the situation was and how they could've done things differently to improve. They listened, took notes, and expressed several ideas for how to prevent these issues in the future and noted that they'd be reviewing these solutions with the team. I also received the updated invoice marking my account as fully paid. As a customer- this goes a long way when a company reacts to a communication breakdown with understanding and solutions for growing instead of defensiveness. Star rating was updated accordingly. Original Review: Pricing NOT transparent. Short story- lack of communication, incorrect billing, some mildly rude interactions. Long story- When quoted the fee for a service call for a dishwasher repair for a rental property, it was quoted around $100 (in the 95-105 range). I did not receive a phone call during service while at the property as requested, and then received a bill for $190. When I called to both ask to speak to the tech to get information about the repair and inquire about the pricing discrepancy, I was met with some condescension and resistance on both ends and told that service call fees are solely for going to the property, but if any work is done, there is a labor charge fee. I was also told that techs are very busy and don’t have a lot of time to drop everything and take customer calls. I explained that first- I will need to speak with the person actually there prior to paying, and second- I wasn’t trying to undercut someone’s value, just that pricing wasn’t clear and I would’ve appreciated a call prior to the service performed if there’s a pricing change, as that's how business is done. I was also told that the tech tried calling but couldn’t get in touch with me because I had provided a wrong number- however, she repeated back my correct number and the tech had called me while he was on the way to the service address, so I was confused about that explanation. In the meantime, I did receive several billing requests by email. It ultimately took 3 phone calls, several emails, and texts to speak with the tech and he was very understanding and agreed that I should’ve been notified. He gave a decrease in the labor rate since it wasn’t transparent, but still higher than the service call fee. I was sent a new quote- however, then received more notifications for payment of the full amount. I paid the amount we had agreed upon, and sent an email to request the account be updated, but as of writing this, still have my account listed with an outstanding balance. Have since sent another email for another request to reconcile the account, so we'll see if that actually happens. A few stars given because I did receive service of the appliance. However, the lack of communication and customer service from my phone calls was very off-putting and frustrating and will keep me from ever using them again. I typically use another appliance company but they were a few days out for a repair. The stark contrast in their customer service and communication is enough for me to never veer from that company again- even with a longer wait time!
This was my first experience with Signature Appliance. I requested an appointment Online, and the next day I received an online, and the next day I received a call to schedule the service. The person I spoke with was very helpful in Accommodating my schedule . Prior to the appointment, I was sent a photo of Larry who was going to be completing the service for us along with information about the visit. There was a burner on the stove which was not functioning and Larry was able to identify the problem immediately, completed the necessary repairs, and left the area neat and clean. He was also able to give me helpful information about maintaining the other appliances in our kitchen. I Will be using them again and highly recommend them!
Nick was very professional and very nice. He did a great job and even cleaned some of the water from my floor from the washer repair. Highly recommend!!!
Nick was awesome! He diagnosed and fixed the dryer, was professional, and even cleaned up after himself! He called before heading my way, and then I received a text that had a link to track him and see how far away he is. I didn’t even know that was possible. Lol. But cool to know how long until the technician arrives. I will definitely use Signature Appliance again in the future!
Great service. The girls in the office are so sweet, they got me in really fast and worked around my work schedule when the parts came in. I worked with Will and he was fantastic. Not only did he show me the problem but showed me how he fixed it so helped me figure out what I wanted to replace- saving me a lot of money! They send you a link to where your repair person is so you don’t have to wonder when they will show up! I would highly recommend if you’re in the Chattanooga area.
Nick was absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, he was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He clearly explained what was wrong with my refrigerator and broke down the repair costs in a way that was easy to understand. I really appreciated how thorough he was—he put everything back together perfectly and made sure my RV was just as clean as when he arrived. I couldn’t be happier with the service and highly recommend Nick to anyone in need of repairs!
Larry was efficient, courteous, and professional with his work. Their customer phone rep Aubrey was super great to work with. She handled all my issues with patience and respect. I would highly recommend Signature Appliance.
