H Matthie Repairs

I had a great experience at H Matthie Repairs! The owner is incredibly knowledgeable and was very generous with his time. I brought in a Singer 201 from the 1940s that made a whirring noice with no movement of the needle. 2 weeks later, I have a fully working machine! This is your sign to fix the broken thing rather than buying brand new. I have a workhorse now that I plan to keep for many years thanks to H Matthie Repairs. Pricing was super fair just make sure to bring $30 cash for a deposit up front and call ahead for his hours. I am grateful for all the good information the owner told me such as unique things about my model (I purchased it second hand at a rummage sale and didn't know too much about it), caring for the machine, and history of sewing machines in general. He also fixes vacuum cleaners which is handy. Strongly recommend going to his shop next time you need a repair.

I got my old singer sewing machine fixed here. He was super nice and very good at his job. 10/10 go to him for a repair, don’t buy a new machine!! He only takes cash and check, but there’s an ATM across the street.

Mr. Matthie repaired a sewing machine and adjusted a serger for me. Didn't have more problems. He is fantastic.

I brought this family heirloom, a Damascus Electric made in 1920, into Mr Matthie’s shop on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Within two days, Mr. Matthie called me to say it was ready for pickup. He cleaned and rewired the sewing machine and repaired the motor. I’m so grateful repair people like him still exist! I highly recommend Mr Matthie!

Mr Matthie has a wealth of knowledge on sewing machines. He is professional, helpful and kind. He completed the work on my sewing machine quickly and it works so well now. He is organized & clearly defines the process so you know what to expect. I recommend him highly.

Fantastic service! if I am ever in need of a sewing machine repair again, I will be coming back here. I am brand new to sewing and the owner talked me through everything that needed to be fixed on my machine when I picked it up. He even spent some time giving me recommendations for how to best use my machine on my current project. Very professional and incredibly knowledgeable, you will not regret coming here.

I must say that this is the best service I received from the owner of this business. Very friendly, professional, fast immediate service as I didn't have to wait very long. His prices are reasonable to fix your sewing machine and he fixes it immediately after checking the machine. Only if its a more complicated issue does he hold the machine in the shop. He is also very knowledgeable about what he does. I would definitely recommend anyone going here to fix your sewing machine problems and I will definitely be going back. I had a sewing machine that hadn't worked properly for years that I had stopped using altogether and I took it to this shop and he fixed my machine in 10 minutes. Im so happy now I can sew my masks . Thanks so much Mr Matthie!
