I called for two service calls on two different appliances and Smart was able to get a tech (Alex) out to me the next day. He did a thorough job in testing and checking the issues that we were having with a dishwasher and a clothes washing machine. He took photos and a video to show me what was exactly the issue. We've had Alex K come out to the house for two different repairs. One was for our freezer that wasn't staying cold enough & once for our dryer that would no longer start. Both repairs were taken care of professionally & efficiently along with the utmost in courtesy. Alex answered all of our questions & had a great attitude throughout. Scheduling with Smart Appliance is super easy via their website & they provide timely updates via email & text including status & photo of the responding technician.

I want to thank Lena for working with me with my availability and was able to get Alex out here on the same day. Alex arrived promptly for the appointed time frame. Alex is very professional and answered my few questions that I did have and how to prevent the issue from occuring again to my upright freezer. Also informed me on the difference between garage and non garage ready freezers. Definitely worth the price compared to just going out and wasting $1,000 on a new one. Thank you again for the great service.

I have used Smart Appliance Services for appliance repair multiple times and my overall experience has been consistently underwhelming and, frankly, mediocre. The Good: The company excels at its logistics. Their scheduling tool is excellent, and the appointment notifications and text reminders are fantastic—truly best-in-class, making the booking process exceptionally convenient. The Not-So-Good: My recurring issue is the value and the company's rigid cancellation/service fee policy. Past Repairs: I've used them twice for a refrigerator (a repair that only bought me 6 months, and then an expensive diagnosis suggesting replacement). While the outcomes were mixed, I accepted paying the service fees for the work/diagnosis performed. The Unjustified Fee: On one occasion, I needed to cancel an appointment. Despite providing ample notification and no technician ever showing up, the company insisted on charging the full service fee, citing a policy requiring 8 business hours notice. We told them we would not pay a fee for services not rendered. Refusing to Budge: Eleven months later, when I tried to book a new appointment for a washing machine, I was forced to re-engage with this old, disputed service fee. I explained to their representative that I felt the policy was poor customer service and that I hoped to move forward with a new service call, setting aside the old non-service charge. I was advised that the manager refuses to budge on the policy. Conclusion: I have never had a truly bad experience with Smart Appliance Services, but I have always paid more than the service received felt worth. I am disappointed that a ridiculously rigid service fee policy is preventing them from retaining a repeat customer simply looking to book a new job. Since they are unwilling to make an exception for a fee charged when zero work was performed, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Be aware: If you need to cancel, be absolutely sure you adhere to the 8-business-hour policy, or they will insist you pay the service fee even if they do not provide service. It's a shame a good booking system is overshadowed by poor customer retention practices.

Excellent experience here! Scheduled me right away. Lana contacted me with arrival updates as well as text updates. Received a picture of the technician I’d meet and Alex fixed the issue same day - including him having to go out and pick up the part. Would absolutely call them again for any appliance repairs.

At this point, Alex has probably repaired every single one of our appliances. He is always on time and communicate so well what the issues are. He is the only one that I call and I cannot recommend him enough!

We recently had an LG washer installed in our home, which is also a vacay rental during part of the year. Our renters called to say it was leaking water. The washer is only 3 1/2 mos. old & the leaking was apparently intermittent. I tried to call LG as the machine is under warranty, but their customer support is a real joke. After several tries, they finally agreed to send a local repair technician. I called this service on a Friday, but they were closed??Monday, still no call. I decided I had to find another technician bc my guests were going to be there two weeks. I called Smart Appliance & immediately spoke to Lena. She said she could send a tech THAT AFTERNOON! I was thrilled. He arrived on time & my renters let him in. Within a half hour he called to say the problem was probably guests using too much detergent. He had run diagnostics & couldn’t find any other source. He only charged me an $89. service charge. I was very happy, my guests are very happy & I NEVER did hear back from the LG warranty repair company! I intend to use Smart Appliance from now on. Stellar service!
