Collins was so easy to work with! We called and had a proposal same day on a Monday, work was complete on Wednesday and permit approved by the city on Friday. It could not have gone more smoothly. Office staff, owner and everyone I met and spoke to was great. Highly highly recommend!

We had a very disappointing experience with this company. We hired them approximately 10 times over the course of several months after moving to a new house to do projects ranging from small (light installation) to medium (adding wiring and a breaker for a hot tub). There were a few obstacles during that period but we liked the owners and they were responsive and timely so we continued patronizing them. However, we discovered two significant defects in their work about 6-8 months later, so we called and asked them to fix the defects. Before even looking at the project, they told me that it wasn’t their fault, but even if it was, the warranty on the work had expired. When I asked the owner to come by and take a look, he was committed from the very start to showing me that it wasn’t their fault and recommended several very expensive alternatives to what two other professionals had suggested (which was that they fix the defects). So he encouraged me to spend more money in furtherance of what at least two other professionals believed to be defects in his company’s work. It’s dishonorable thing to shirk responsibility for errors that they made. It’s dishonest to then recommend that I spend much more money exploring every possible other avenue as opposed to simply fixing their mistake.

Highly recommend!! We needed some emergency electrical consulting and work done in our old south city home. Within a couple hours of first calling we had someone (I suspect the company owner) with eyes on the problem and prioritized getting a crew to us a few hours after that. The crew was knowledgable and explained the problem and what they were doing to fix it. After all that, the bill was very reasonable. Based on our experience, we plan to call Collins for all future electrical needs.

Had an electrical fire overnight due to some shoddy work done by a previous homeowner. Called Collins the following morning, they had the issue diagnosed and fixed within a few hours of us calling then. Cannot recommend enough, reasonable price too

Collins Electric always does a great job with electrical projects on my old home. They show up when they say they are going to and they get the job done. Pat is always helpful and advises on alternatives if needed. They always do the job right or make it right. Multiple customer with no complaints. I highly recommend them, especially for owners of vintage homes.

They have done small maintenance jobs for us, but really excel at helping us with our gut renovations and additions where we install new wiring. They are prompt, professional, and unfazed by the vague whims of changing customer needs or the surprises that pop up in 100+ year old buildings.

These friendly folks came highly recommended by two of my co-workers. They showed up on time and replaced two track lighting fixtures for me in 30 minutes for a very fair price.
