I’ve dealt with plenty of supply stores, but Edward Joy really impressed me. I don't usually write reviews but I had such a great experience here. The staff knew their products and understood what I needed for a home theater job. Dan helped me figure out exactly what I needed and I was pretty lucky he knew about sound equipment too. It was one of those rare moments where I felt confident leaving the store knowing I had everything I needed. Thanks for the help and I'll be back soon!

I had a fantastic experience shopping at Edward Joy Lighting! The store has a beautiful selection of lighting options — from classic to contemporary — and everything is displayed in a way that makes it easy to envision in your own space. What truly made my visit exceptional was the help I received from Amethyst. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and attentive to my needs. Amethyst took the time to understand the look I was going for and offered thoughtful suggestions that completely transformed my lighting choices. Thanks to her, I left the store confident and excited about my purchase. I highly recommend Edward Joy Lighting, and be sure to ask for Amethyst — she's amazing!

I was looking for professional to repair a simple free standing lamp. I was told that Dan at the electrical desk can do the repair. I brought it to the store a few weeks before Christmas of 2024 and after following up with Dan every month I got nothing but excuses. The lamp as never been looked at nor got repaired. It's now May of 2025. If you're looking for a repair shop do not go to Joy...run away from them and don't waste your time. Dan is featured on their website with his glasses on standing at the counter helping a customer. Truly this is a optic moment but clearly not an indication of his expertise. Don should stick to selling light bulbs.

Worked with Billy and another very helpful man and woman to select lights for our entryway and kitchen. They were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helped us select matching fixtures. We had questions on a particular fixture that they didn't know the answer to but Billy said he would followup after the weekend with the manufacturer to get the details. He called me early afternoon with the answer to our questions. The quality of the lights are definetly superior to "the big box stores" or online stores. Much better materials and WAY easier to hang/install. The selection was huge and we struggled to decide among many competing options and found ourselves wanting to replace every light in the house. We will definetly be back in the future! I wish we had found them years ago.

Customer service is lacking. I entered the store on a Saturday afternoon. Two workers were standing at the customer service desk doing nothing and I don’t think there were any customers in the store. I told them what I was looking for. Instead of walking me through the showroom to the specific area, one woman told me where to go. When I found something I was interested in I told her I needed two. Inventory showed one was in the warehouse and the other was on the floor. As I was asking about the return policy I was told the warehouse was closed so I couldn’t get that one that day. The floor model was not returnable because of the work involved to take it down and reinstall it in the showroom. Did they not want to sell anything that day since it was in the closed warehouse?? Needless to say I took my business elsewhere, got the help I needed and purchased two fixtures.

I had a (really) old bulb blow out on me last week. I took the bulb to Home Depot and they did not have a replacement. I found Edward Joy Electric by accident on my way home, decided to stop by, and was delighted to see that they had the exact bulb I needed in stock. The guys at the electric counter were professional and got what I needed quickly. Edit: I am editing my post because the staff at Edward Joy were kind enough to reach out to me about my previous complaints. My original review included that my initial impression of the customer service over the phone was not good. However, I have removed this part of my review given the staff’s quick response to my concerns. Edward Joy Electric is a great place to get your lightbulbs and light fixtures.

Rude customer service and not very helpful when asking them questions. Update 1 year later - went back to try again. Same rude and condescending employees especially the older woman in the showroom. Barely any greeting and assuming right away I would need some type of discount to afford the fixtures. Was followed around the store as if I could fit a hanging fixture in my fanny pack. Safe to say will not be trying this place anymore. They assume if you’re not an older white person you can’t shop there.
