James Holske Electrician

James did an amazing job with the lighting and electrical installation in my new shop. Very pleased with his work. He made sure I was comfortable with where the lights would go and went above and beyond to help me identify little things that really give my shop that wow factor.

James was wonderful! He started by helping me over the phone trying to diagnose the problem; he wanted to see if there was a simple solution that he could walk me through and save me the cost of an electrician. Once we knew I needed professional help he arrived quickly and charged me a *very* reasonable rate for the amount of time he was here. Once he discovered an issue with the wiring outside my house that the electric company needed to address he called them, got them to come ASAP, and stayed here longer than necessary on a weekend (no additional cost) to make sure there were no problems with their work. He was remarkably patient and answered all the questions my 8-year old asked him about the work he was doing and the work Eversource was doing. He is a very kind person who knows his stuff; I recommend him whole heartedly

We didn’t find James, but he found us. Coincidentally, it was just when we needed him. We were looking to have our electrical outlets wired and breakers installed at our store, Bread ‘n Butter International Market. Within minutes of speaking with James, we were able to get an appointment scheduled within the same week. He was professional, knowledgeable, reasonably priced, and most of all, timely. He was able to have everything done and have our appliances working the same day and left the place just how he found it. No questions asked, we will be in contact with James for any electrical needs in the future. Great guy with a positive attitude!

James is awesome!!! I called him from Virginia for a client in the Boston area, I liked his kind tone on the phone from the start. He took the time to listen to me and he went out to the client's place of business a few days later. He successfully identified the issue and gave me careful instructions to pass onto the client to prevent the problem from reoccurring. This is why I love to deal with small companies over large corporations, you get that personal touch which results in overall better communication and service. I needed to have a new carbon monoxide / smoke detector installed ASAP. ( My old one was old and needed to be replaced) I called James at 8:30PM at night, expecting to make an appointment for the following day! Imagine my surprise when he said he was on the road and could stop by to install the detector! ( I live in South Boston ). WOW! He came, installation took a short time! He was professional, pleasant and had a great sense of humor! He explained everything about the detector and said if there were problems to call him again! Not only will I call him again, I recommend to everyone to use his services. He is GREAT!

I am actually giving a 5-star review to an electrician I never used--and here is why. I recently purchased a portable air conditioner for my daughter at college in a Boston apartment. Unfortunately, the plug on the unit broke and I struggled to find anyone to take care of this problem. The appliance store I purchased it from along with the authorized repair center were less than helpful and I kept getting the run around. Meanwhile, temperatures in the city were rising and my daughter and her dog were entering a dangerous situation. I contacted James based on his great reviews. He was very honest with me on what could and could not be done with the unit, but he also recommended a portable unit that he has purchased for himself. He took a picture of the unit and sent some contact information. I did purchase the unit and my daughter (and her dog) are very happy. Here's the best part-James actually followed up with me a fews days after our initial call to see if everything worked out. Amazing!
