The company came out to check on an issue with the house (that was user error). I had work done on unused breakers to add outlets in my basement that didn’t touch the rest of the house. Unasked the guy told me that it "wouldn’t impact my warranty" and for 200 bucks they’d come back out and fix something the others did, no problem. Just to call. Ok sounds good right? I get an email almost right away from my warranty rep telling me I’m now out of warranty because of the work. I would have been fine to be told that was the case. But to bring it up, lie, and then go and immediately like tattle? Bizarre. Would never ever use.
Not a safe company. We purchased a Shea home 6.5 years ago. Courtesy did the electrical. Not only did they do a horrible, lazy job, but they created several safety issues. They mislabeled our breaker box. When I asked them to come label it appropriately so we can safely work on our house, the electrician said "that’s your job". There are several switch boxes in our house that have multiple breakers running to them. This is incredibly unsafe. Thankfully we have enough knowledge of electrical to work around this incompetence. If you are looking to hire an electrician, I highly recommend looking elsewhere. It will save you multiple future headaches!
As a licensed electrician I can honestly say most of the negative reviews I see should have been directed to the builder- NOT the electrical contractor. The contractor is paid specifically to build based completely on the SCOPE OF WORK and nothing else. Also, having multiple circuits in a box is not only legal but completely safe. I’m not sure where another reviewer got this information from?? Thing is, I want people to be informed and not misled. So while I’m not sure of the competency of this company, I can assure you most of the negative reviews I see here are more than likely not justified.
I ordered a houseful of Elite LED lights on Courtesy Electric's recommendation when I purchased a NEW Shea Home in the Back Country. These LED lights where supposed to last 23 years and after 2.5 years 9 of them went out. Elite has a warranty I called Courtesy about however they said I had to take this matter up with the Developer even though the lights were purchased by Courtesy Electric. Now I'm stuck with a house full of non-working lights. I'm frustrated because they did NOT take responsibility on this?
I recently purchased a Richmond home and had problems getting internet service at my residence. After several appointments with CenturyLink it was brought to my attention Comcast was pre-wired to the home. Spoke with Ryan who is clearly aware of the problem that CenturyLink is having when trying to install their conduit I would have to pay $140 to have his technician come back out to my residence. It is a know fact as he stated he has met with CenturyLink and it is a two man job to get the conduit through. Because it took two of his technicians to feed the pull wire through, which still did not work ,when the Century Technician arrived he asked me to call and see if they could come out to help and show what was done. Ryan stated they are lazy and he is not going to do the job for them. The issue I have is, had they disclosed this information it would not have taken me a whole week off of work to get internet installed, had they just said go with Comcast because we have all ready pre-wired the home. Big disservice to the homeowner.
I would give this company 0 stars but that’s not an option. Electrician came out and made all kinds of excuses not to do the work. Lucky I found Allsafe electric. There electrician came out did a full diagnostic and resolved my issue.
working in there shop was the worst experience I've ever had. There circular saw caught fire, no one has tools, getting anything ordered on time dont hold your breath, voiced my opinions on how some order could be made was not only shot down on ever level but then was alienated by my colleagues and supervisors until they let me go for "lack of productivity"
