I am a member of IEC, and also a student. Every one that I have interacted with has always been friendly, willing to help and very patient. As the owner of an electrical contracting company, I appreciate the education and support they are able to give us. As a student, they really care about making sure the students are well educated and taught to do things the right way. Dale, Kathy, Savannah and Tatum are all so awesome!
Probably the best thing i have done for my self was in role in this course havent started yet and things are already coming together. The lady's in the office are extremely helpful and gorgeous. The math refresher instructor is absolutely awesome havent met anyone else yet but so far everyone i have met have helped me more then i could ask for defiantly recomend to anyone wanting to get into a trade career or the electrical feild. I want to tell them all thank you
Don't do it most instructors are horrible at teaching. And once you get your journeyman license like me you still won't get paid enough. Take my advice and go to an actual school and get a real degree. Being an electrician is not the way to go.
I started at IEC at the beginning of this winter season. I have to say this school is more than amazing. They have been so accommodating through my whole process from the start of signing up and so welcoming. I have no other plans to attend any other school through out my journeyman license.
This trade school is an excellent option for students that are living in remote areas, as it offers an online program. The program is very affordable, and my experience here has been great so far! Eric Gillespie has been my first year instructor. His classes have been very informative, and he is very helpful if you are confused about a topic. The online classes cover a broad spectrum of different electrical circulums and skills you’ll cover directly on the job. Most of the information I have learned coincides with my everyday work. The staff here is also kind and pleasant! I would highly recommend IEC in Colorado Springs to begin your Journeyman Electrician hours needed to obtain the license.
Finishing my final year here and I have only good things to say! The training events, classes, extracurricular contests and whatnot have all been a boon to increasing my knowledge about my profession in the electrical field! The instructors that I have interacted with are all well versed in the trade and continue to keep themselves updated as new technologies come out.
Amazing school, the most helpful teachers and staff, they know you by name, they ask about your family. Overall, they're here for you and you'll leave a much better Electrician then you came in! Love them.
