I have nothing but good things to say about Joe Gioffre Electric Company, and especially Rick, the electrician who came out. He did an incredible job. My situation: we had an empty dishwasher bay in a condo we just closed on, and the previous owners had never installed a dishwasher. The bay only had a wall plate with live wires tucked behind it, which was the old way of doing things. Current code requires turning those wires into a standard outlet so the dishwasher can simply plug in. Before my plumber could install the dishwasher, we needed an electrician to handle that upgrade. I found Joe Gioffre Electric online, saw the great reviews -- especially about Rick -- and I’m happy to confirm they were spot-on. Rick came out and actually did more than what we originally discussed. Instead of just extending the wires for a hardwired setup, he went ahead and upgraded everything to a proper outlet to meet modern code. He also modified my dishwasher itself (it was originally set up for the old hardwire method) so that it now has a standard cord with a plug. He did all of this at no extra charge, even though it went beyond the original scope and price he quoted. On top of the quality work, Rick was incredibly friendly and personable. He walked me through everything he did, answered all my questions, and honestly was just a great person to spend time with. He noted he is a seasoned vet with over 20 years experience (IIRC) and has seen it all and knows how do to it all the right way the first time. Based on my experience with him, I'm not surprised at all. I absolutely recommend Joe Gioffre Electric Company—and especially Rick. Five out of five stars.

I highly recommend hiring Rick for your electrical job. I personally have hired him 3-4 times. After the first time he did work for us I stopped calling anyone else. Rick is a true pro who gets the job done right without cutting corners. For people who prefer to do some of the work themselves on bigger projects he is incredibly helpful in coordinating moving pieces. Trustworthy and honest - what more can you ask for in an electrician?

Hired Gioffree Electric to run electric service from my basement to a new unattached garage. Rick did a wonderful job. He is knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful in the planning of the job. Recessed lighting in kitchen, living room and outside security light suddenly quit working. Called Joe Gioffre after reading a good review on social media. Rick was able to trouble shoot the problem and fix it quickly and efficiently. He wore shoe protectors and was very friendly. The price for the repair was more than reasonable.

I just had Rick come and resolve an electric problem. He was very professional and resolved my issue in a very timely fashion. He also explained another issue I was having. I highly recommend him.
