The team that came out today from sandbox solar was so professional, they were very kind they answered all of my questions. When the job was done they cleaned up the work area. I was very impressed with their concern about answering all of my questions. They were able to do this portion of the install in one day. Big Thank You to Bailee, Liam, Eric, Clay, and Cal.

The sandbox solar crew (clay, ben, bailee and brodie) did a great job on my solar removal and reinstall when I needed a new roof. They were delayed from the scheduled arrival time both for removal and reinstall, but each time provided updates so we weren't left wondering what was going on. Communication and progress updates during the job were also excellent. Sandbox did the original install about 5 years ago and stood behind their work when we had a major malfunction 2 years later. Easy to recommend a reputable local company who does good work at reasonable price.

My array was installed by another installer in 2021. One panel was underperforming the ones next to it, all four facing South, which made no sense to me. Contacted the company I purchased the system from as well as the manufacturer and neither one could come up with a solution. Five minutes after Sandbox Service arrived they correctly diagnosed and resolved the issue. Very pleased with their sales and service groups. Highly recommend them.

Clay, Bailee, & Kris with Sandbox Solar are great! They arrived on time to re-install the solar panels on my roof. I requested that they allow me to clean them before installation & they accommodated me by leaning each 11 panels along the fence making it easy for me to clean. They are knowledgeable, efficient & made sure the job was done right. Clay showed me that everything was working correctly before they left. I highly recommend Sandbox Solar.

Sandbox Solar is excellent, they have worked on my Tesla system - mainly for detach and reinstall for a remodel and roofing work on my home. They have been excellent, I wanted to shout out to the crew that did the detach and re-install Clay, Bailee, and Brodie, really nice crew, got everything hooked up and it looks great. Highly recommended.

I chose Sandbox Solar after getting a few different quotes from solar companies, ultimately choosing Sandbox because (1) their installs looked a little "cleaner"/prettier than others and (2) they were a local Fort Collins company. Their costs were better for a small system, but were more expensive for a larger system (Apollo was the most economical choice). The salesperson was generally pretty attentive and answered questions within a couple of days of an email. I ended up getting a 9.66kW system for $35k. My main issue was that communication with Sandbox was absolutely HORRIBLE. I was told upfront that I would be assigned a CSR or something who would keep me informed of progress, and then I heard almost nothing for months. I actually heard more about this project from the City of Fort Collins, who would send emails about the project progression since I was a person of record on the project. When I asked for status updates, I was redirected to a web platform that didn't work or given canned responses that essentially equated to, "we'll let you know." But the problem was, they hadn't been letting me know, which is why I was asking. I always needed to pull to get information, and that was very frustrating, especially because I was trying to coordinate with other contractors doing work. When the PV (photovoltaic) install crew came, they got everything installed relatively quickly, but one of the things they had an issue with was the location of my Fort Collins Connexion box, and they told me it needed to be relocated (and where). So I had Connexion come out to move the box, but then when the electrician came and installed his upgrades, it didn't pass inspection because the Connexion box was in the way, even though it was moved to the exact location the earlier crew told me to. So I needed to have Connexion come out and move the box AGAIN, and schedule another inspection with the City. I also received conflicting information about whether I needed to remove a tree trunk that was close to my house (already pegged for removal), so I wasn't sure how to prioritize that project, and it turns out that it did need to be removed before the project could pass City inspection. Even after everything was installed and seemingly OK, I didn't hear anything about next steps or when it would be live or how to monitor or anything. I finally did get an email from a separate 3rd Party (not even direct from Sandbox) that I finally had permission to operate 2 weeks later. One last anecdote, in order to qualify for a discount, I needed to provide 3 referrals. The referrals that I submitted were all warm, interested parties (i.e., not just 3 friends who would humor them in order for me to get my discount), and I later asked them, and all of them told me that Sandbox never even contacted them. Eeks. In the middle of the project, I actually had Sandbox come out and quote me adding an EV Charger to the installation and a heat pump, but I was so disillusioned that I ended up moving forward on both projects with different companies. They never even followed up after the initial quote, which I think was another wasted opportunity to create a positive "touchpoint" with a customer. These are relatively simple fixes to put in place, but it takes organizational commitment, and I never got the impression that anyone cared about it. I have no regrets [so far] with the quality of work or the equipment, but communication and coordination (including internal coordination) are a key part of the user experience, and in that, Sandbox let me down deeply.

Sandbox has been a great company thus far. Communication was great and the components used in the system are some of the best on the market. The installation team Calvin and Wyatt were super knowledgeable helpful in explaining much of the components of the system to me. Excellent company and happy we found them.
