I was having trouble finding a reliable electrician to fix a few issues at my house. I was referred to Makena by a friend and Andre the electrician got everything fixed very quickly and at a reasonable price. After moving into a new home the power to half our house went out and we found out we’d need an entire new electrical panel. Not only did Andre respond on a weekend to come diagnose the issue but his team worked quickly once we scheduled a second appointment to get it installed and our power back on. I had a ton of questions throughout the process and Andre and his team took time to address all of them. Andre and team are the best! I contacted them after seeing other really great reviews, and I wasn't disappointed. I've had them come out a couple times already to replace my 80s lighting with new recessed lights. These guys really know their stuff - I was very impressed by how efficient they were with wiring my new recessed lights with minimal cuts into my ceilings and walls. As an added bonus, Andre and his crew are super nice people, and Andre really seems to care about his clients and have our best interests in mind.

Andre and his team are great. I have used Makena Electric twice, once to install a new 240V outlet for an induction stove and another time to install new ceiling fans. Both times, the communication was great, they arrive on time, and they work FAST. Quality is great and the cleanup was also top notch. Pricing is very competitive and Andre is great to work with. Andre and Makena Electric were referred by a friend. I needed an upgrade to my electric panel for insurance renewal. After a phone call with Andre, he was well prepared for the job. He was prompt, arrived when he said he would and handled all of the incidentals such as obtaining city permits, inspections, and re-stuccoing. I used Makena multiple times now for electrical work on changing loose and broken outlets to changing breaker boxes. He’s sociable, informative. He gives his opinions and I don’t feel that he’s trying to "sell" me. Would recommend.

We interviewed quite a few electricians before we met Andre, the owner. Some didn't respond, some were late, some tried to upsell, and a few failed to follow-through with a quote. Andre was prompt, responsive, on-time, and on budget. Best of all, he and Pedro did quality work, always leaving the work area in as clean a condition as when they started. The first call was to install lighting above the garage doors, plus a flood light with motion sensor. This was not easy because the garage door opener rail mount occupied the space behind where the lights were to go. I still don't know how they did it, but as the photos show, they achieved my request. They also mounted lighting fixtures on the back of the house. There was cabinetry on the inside that made mounting and wiring a real challenge. Once again, they performed their magic. We were so pleased with their work that when it was time to have a Tesla wall charger mounted outside of the garage, we asked Andre for a quote. Tesla has a referral program for "certified" electricians, so I did submit requests, but not one could be bothered to respond.
