Hey just a reminder LES, when you shut peoples power off with zero notice or warning of any capacity. Those same people cannot eat without the stove or microwave, I really hope my home medical equipment doesn’t die in the middle of the night too. If only there’s wasn’t one single corporation who is too greedy to care about peoples wellbeing’s. Dave the Senior Customer Service Rep really drove that home when explaining that he did not care and that if the post office lost the notice then it didn’t matter to him. They also refuse to send any sort of notice other than in mail. Just a heads up to all of you! They can text you that the power is out but not they are gonna shut it off without warning. They canceled our auto pay, and then refused to notice us for MONTHS until they could shut off the power demanding a massive bill that they can collect late fees and interest on. Dave was arguably one of the worst experiences with a customer service rep, especially one that claimed to be directly under management who also just happened to not be there.

Absolutely awful customer service. We received no warning before they shut off my power, and then when I called to report an outage I had to leave a voicemail, which was never returned. After over 24 hours of having no electricity, I was finally able to get ahold of someone and all they could tell me was that it was my fault for not receiving the bills they mailed out. They claim to have emailed me, but I never received those either. I asked why they didn’t attempt to call me and I was told they don’t make outgoing calls due to phone scams. There are a million different kind of scams out there for a bunch of different services and companies, such as Medicare, or for hospital bills, but they still make outgoing calls. Imagine if a doctor’s office or a hospital just didn’t call people because one time someone got scammed. I also checked my online account to see if there was a balance multiple times, and the only account I had access to was to my old address so the balance was $0. I later was told that I should have called when I moved in to get my account number to add to my already existing LES account, which was never communicated to me in any way. It’s also ridiculous that I would have to add an account to an already existing account. I asked for a manager and was told that one would call me back, despite being told previously that they don’t make outgoing calls. The manager I spoke with just told me the same things as the rep that I had spoken to earlier. She did add that I shouldn’t ‘expect free electricity’, which I thought was extremely unprofessional. I never once asked for any fees or charges to be waived, I simply wanted to know why they didn’t get in to contact with me before shutting my power off. She was very unhelpful and could only repeat the phrases ‘we sent the bills in the mail’ and ‘we tried to email you’. I asked why they didn’t contact my apartments leasing office to ask who had been using the electricity for 5 months in a seemingly vacant apartment, and she just repeated that they don’t make outgoing calls. I’m confused as to how they have the manpower to go out and turn off electricity, but somehow can’t make a phone call or knock on a door. If there are so many delinquent accounts that it’s impossible to call all of them, then maybe the issue is with the company and not the customers. The manager made no attempt to actually help me or offer any kindness and I ended the phone call in tears. No company or business should be run this way, especially one that provides something that is essential to life. It should be against the law for a company to turn off your power, especially during the summer, without doing absolutely everything they can to get into contact with a customer. If I were able, I would never use them again, but unfortunately I’m stuck with them.

Wow! Just amazingly horrible. How does a bill go from 350 up to 700 in a day? Not sure but it happens with this company. No I would not recommend even to an enemy. But their day will come so I say LES have the day you deserve!

Terrible service, Terrible prices, Terrible "installment plan"(gave us a 3 day payment plan, cuz if you cant pay today youre definitely gonna have 300$ to drop in 3 days), and they aren't open when they are supposed to be. Edit: it is now 8:25 and I have called once every minute since it hit 8am and it keeps saying the office is closed, and if I don't pay my bill fast enough I'm gonna be screwed. So not sure why you are almost half an hour late to opening, but it's VERY frustrating. (: the website doesn't work on my phone correctly at all so I have to call..

The women representatives are completely cold and lack any sort of empathy. Its extremely disappointing that customer service isn't able to give an ETA of when their techs will be around to reconnect service. Every rep I've spoken to has given an empty apology and promises they are not able to speak to their techs. They have no dispatch... no form of communication. I really wish LES had some sort of competition. Maybe this would make them actually care about losing customers. It's amazing how quickly techs leave an area... and can't be sent back. But how offensively long it takes for them to come back. If possible I would give LES 0 stars.

I heard the transformer explode half a block away. You people are SO AWESOME!!! 2 hours later the power was back on. I am taking care of my 85 year old mother and I was afraid it would get too warm for her... THANK YOU. I saw the trucks coming and going. Best in the business.

LES is a prime example of why people should invest in solar panels. Fixed costs for electricity is unethical and I won't change my mind. You can't ethically charge all your customers for product they didn't consume, whatever the law says it's clearly legal theft right in our faces! That is what corporations do. LES is the reason we need more government regulations over big company's who price gouge and engage in unethical business practices. LES won't adjust on their own because they don't have to when their "customers" are forced to rely on them. It's not sustainable.
