Gagnon's Electrical Services

This is the second time we have used Gagnons and have been very impressed with their work. We just had them install a ring doorbell and floodlight and they stayed until everything was working. They are my go too with all my electrical problems, highly recommend this company!

Bill and Shawn are amazing! It’s so nice to have a go to. They are extremely communicative, always on time and provide quality work. They always provide different options for you which is nice. We’ve remodeled our entire home (they did all the electrical) and they have been by far our easiest contractor. Thank YOU both. They quite literally brought light to own home (dad joke) thanks guys!

They were able to come quickly and fixed my electrical problem in a few hours. Their pricing was very reasonable and straightforward. In particular, I was thrilled at how willing they were to dive into the work done by previous contractors and with their direct, balanced advice on what my options were. The whole thing was far more direct, simple, and fast than I expected with exactly the outcome I was looking for. Highly reccommended!

I used Gagnon's electrical services to install the EV charger in my garage. Bill was very friendly from the time he came to do the inspection, was quickly able to figure what we needed as I had the panel in my basement and gave a quick reasonable quote. He and Shawn completed the whole project in a very short time. I'd highly recommend the father and son duo.

I reached out to Gagnon Electrical because I saw many post good reviews about them on the Merrimack Forum Facebook page. We’d been having some issues with flickering lights after changing the switches/lightbulbs to LER dimmable. When I called, I was a bit surprised that the person who answered the phone only said "Hello?" And didn’t say a name or that I had reached Gagnon Electrical. A little strange, I thought, but no big deal. At the end of the call, he said he’d give me a call back early the next morning to find a time to come for a service call. I received the call the next day at 11:20 (much later than I expected, but again, I looked past this), and confirmed via phone that my address was in Merrimack. I received another phone call 20 mins later with concern that he was at the wrong place - he had gone to the same address, but in Nashua. I reminded him that we had spoken and confirmed I lived in Merrimack. Again, a bit odd, but I figured phone call etiquette and being scattered weren’t reasons to dismiss the quality service I had read about. When Bill arrived, the lights weren’t flickering (this issue happens throughout the day, but not every time the lights are on), and I felt like he didn’t necessarily believe that the issue was present, even though I explained that *sometimes* the lights would work as expected. After reviewing with him that we had, in fact, purchased both light bulbs and switches that were LED and dimmable (after he told me that would be the fix, but we already had that in place), he made a minor adjustment to the switch and called it a day. I was very surprised to then be told the service call alone, for basically just a 10 minute information-giving conversation, would be $135. I’m not exactly sure what I just paid for. And they only took check, which is fine, but I think it would’ve been helpful to have had transparency about both the cost of the service call itself (with the understanding that even when not much is done, the cost would still be $135) and that they only take checks, as that is pretty uncommon these days. Bill was pleasant to interact with, but I think transparency of cost, payment method, etc. would’ve gone a long way and I likely wouldn’t have gone through with the service call if I had known that would be the result. I’m sure that Gagnon Electrical is true to their great reputation with other jobs I read about, but I felt like it was important to share my experience as it was a bummer to have such a different impression.

Gagnon recently performed a repair at my residence. As usual, their work was perfect. I say "as usual" because over the years, Gagnon has completed many repairs for my friends and me. Their prices are very reasonable, and they always give lucid descriptions of the work being performed. As an added benefit we really enjoy our conversations with Mr. Gagnon, who has a great sense of humor! Gagnon Electrical Services is our GOLD STANDARD.

I had an issue where my portable generator was acting abnormally during a recent power outage. I tried resetting breakers, got nothing. I called Mr Gagnon in a panic, he told me how to reset the generator over the phone ! He is the best !
