PJ Erwin Electric

This guy is amazing! I had what I consider to be a fairly involved project. I needed new electrical service for a small four unit apartment complex. The job involved a new mast head, new breaker boxes and meters for each of the units, and tying in the new service lines to each of the units (two of which are in a separate building). I discussed the job with aprox. eight electricians. Pete was by far the most thorough on both the bidding and planning of the job. I am an absentee property owner, and I was perfectly comfortable with Pete managing the job from 3,000 miles away. Pete was in constant communication and was always very upfront and honest each step of the way. I trust him. As a bonus, he's got a great personality!

Our experience with Pete and his team was everything you could ask for in an electrician. We had him upgrade our electric service to 200 amps and install a Tesla charging station. Pete was prompt and responsive throughout the project, the work was neat and professional, and the entire crew was a pleasure to deal with. He coordinated all permits and inspections - No surprises! We will use Pete again.

Pete and Christian has been wonderful to work with. Our situation was a bit complex and required multiple coordination with different parties. It wasn't a typical install job, but Pete and Christian walked us through the stages every step of the way. They provided us with a detail visual of what's to take place and the bids were on time and accurate. Very responsive and professional. Diligent and meticulous in how they plan out the work and made the entire process hassle-free for us as we worked remotely with them due to our busy schedules.

Pete and his crew did a pretty big job for us replacing our electrical service and removing old knob-and-tube wiring. We could not be happier with his quality work, consistent communication, and reliability. Best of all, he's a super-nice guy! I would highly recommend Pete for any job, and certainly would use him again! If you are looking for a very qualified electrician that you can count on, and one that won't cost you an arm and a leg, Pete is your guy!

We had a very good experience working with PJ Erwin Electric when they installed a new breaker panel and an outdoor light at our home. They completed the work on schedule and within the proposed budget, and were professional and considerate. The final inspections required by PG&E and the City of Berkeley were monitored and successfully completed. We are happy to recommend them.

We hired Pete and his crew to do the electrical work for our kitchen remodel in our condo this summer. We interviewed a few electricians before easily deciding on him. He was the most straight-forward with his pricing, his crew were clearly experienced [explained everything along the way]; and they did only the work necessary [up to code!], not any more. They were a pleasure to work with and total professionals! Awesome 5 star experience!

I needed to replace a 40's electrical main panel in my Berkeley bungalow home. I could not be more happier that with the work that PJ Erwin did. They were up to date with current City of Berkeley codes such as not updating the electrical main in it's current location because it was 36" within the gas meter. Both Pete and Christian reached out to both the City of Berkeley to arrange for inspections and PG&E to move the electrical line from the north side of the house to a new location on the south side. I wanted more capacity and they quoted me a price and stuck to it. There were no surprise extra charges. They kept me in the loop via email and text as to what was going and what was happening next. We passed inspection and happily feel much safer now with circuit breakers vs the old screw in fuses. There pricing is very fair. If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy electrician, this should be the one you select.
