Kilowatt Heating, Air Conditioning and Electrical

We have been using Aladdin plumbing and heating for years, and they have now become kilowatt Heating and Air conditioning. Every fall and spring they inspect our heater and air conditioner and the representatives that come out are very polite and clean. They give us the rundown on any needed work, but there is usually nothing needed except filter change. Our equipment is bike carrier and is of high quality. We appreciate the service we receive from Aladdin/Kilowatt. We pay for a service contract each year and it is well worth it.

Robert does a great job servicing my HVAC twice a year. He explains everything he checked, any items that may need repair now or in the future, and the results of his testing and servicing. He is knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. I am very glad Kilowatt kept him in the merger with Aladdin.

We used Aladdin for years until we needed their services again and discovered that they were acquired by Kilowatt. When we were given the phone number to call to have one of our packaged HVAC units on the roof serviced (and eventually replaced), I recognized the number from the sign on the brown and green building at the exit of the 101N Fwy at Sepulveda. I've lived in LA for over 19 years and have always thought that building was a money laundering front. I'm so glad I was mistaken and will be using these guys from now on for my HVAC needs. I heard from neighbors and friends that they are more expensive than other companies. However, when I'm dealing with critical infrastructure regarding my home, I opt to not be too stingy with every dollar. Pricier doesn't mean better, but when you're backed with nearly 450 reviews at a 4.9 rating on Google, I would say that adds credibility. Tommy, the initial sales/tech rep came out promptly when we were noticing our 3.5 ton Rheem packaged unit wasn't blowing cold air out of our vents. He spent the time to investigate the problem, provide options, and had us in touch with Trevor in the management office to handle all of our concerns, questions, idiosyncracies, and pet peeves. We discussed matters with a family friend who does commercial and some residential construction and repair to weigh our options. In the end, after honest and frank discussions with Trevor that didn't involve any upselling or false assurances, we settled on replacing the unit with an equivalent 3.5 ton entry unit American Standard that was still 14 seer, but it used the newer freon standard and had a heat pump, steering us away from natural gas. With three kids, a 5 year-old premium shingled roof, and new solar panels installed, we wanted to make sure removal and installation was seamless, damage free, clutter free, and debris free. Armando, the project manager for the day during our unit swap, insured that everything was done expertly. From first sales call to final installation, everything took about a week. I was even able to leave the home to tend to errands as the workers are all employees of Kilowatt and have been working there for years, sometimes decades. I'm not a huge fan of subcontractors and prefer vertical contractors for this very reason. Cameras in and out of my home also verified that everything was done above board. I'm happy to say that after our first test of a lot of rain and wind with the atmospheric river that has blown through this weekend, there has been absolutely zero leaks. Not even a drop. Everything is running smoothly--both cooling and heating. The office was even able and willing to promptly address any questions I had regarding federal and state tax credits or utility rebates. I highly recommend Kilowatt. Not every project will be problem free, but so far mine has been smooth sailing. And with the professionalism I have encountered thus far, I have no doubts that any future concerns will be dealt with in earnest, thoroughly, and to our satisfaction.

I have used Kilowatt for about a year now and they are great. I would highly recommend them and paying their monthly subscription is worthwhile. The office staff is extremely helpful, and they have the best technicians. Francis is efficient, friendly, knowledgeable, always willing to answer any questions I have, and never leaves a mess after his work is complete (which is incredible). I am definitely happy with the services I receive from Kilowatt.

Kilowatt were recommended from our neighbor when we moved in 2021. We signed up for the 6month maintenance program. Byron is fantastic, professional, he knew his stuff and very friendly. They always contacted us to let us know the 6 month maintenance was due. During the recent heat wave our unit finally gave up the ghost (+10 years old). Within a week they were able to offer us a new unit and install date. The units(s) and installation they provided was EXCELLENT. Their team came and replaced our complete system and rebuilt it in 2 days. We are now enjoying energy efficient variable speed heat pump system. I can already see how efficient and cool the complete house is. I would recommend these guys all day log.

We’ve been consistently using kilowatt to service our older AC unit. They are always incredibly thorough, punctual, honest and affordable. We are experiencing a brutal heat wave at the moment and our AC unit conked out. I called kilowatt at night and they were able to fit us in the next day. Our AC is back up and running better than before and it was a very easy and inexpensive fix. I highly recommend this company!

I cannot recommend Kilowatt highly enough!! It starts with the first phone call, and hearing either Valerie or Jessica on the other end was top notch. They were both extremely efficient, helpful and kind (I called two times for separate requests). Francis came out during the middle of a heat wave and was kind, calm, patient, thorough and honest. I will be recommending Kilowatt to everyone I know. I wish more businesses were run as efficiently and honestly as Kilowatt. A+ rating!!
