Buyer Beware. 08/05/2019 Edited in Response to Manchester Electric: No damage expectation was ever discussed. period. In addition if any potential customer does enough research on the internet yelp, angies list, google etc... they'll find enough reviews and responses to know enough to think twice about doing business with this company.
I really enjoyed working with Manchester Electric on my recent renovations. I just recently bought a new investment property in Ellisville and when I had it inspected, it needed a panel change and needed a new meter box. I called Manchester Electric and the lady on the phone was really polite and got me in right away. I found their price to be fantastic and their customer service to be even better. When I buy additional property, I definitely plan to call these guys again.
We have used Manchester Electrical Contractors for 15+ years for everyting at our home. We have had them do everything from installing outdoor security lights to installing subpanels and new wiring for our gutted kitchen remodel. We have never had a problem with their work and have always been completely satisfied. Their response time is excellent along with their price and customer service!
So glad I went with this company! We were having issues with our refrigerator shutting off multiple times a day. I contacted this company via email because I work during the day and can't call while I'm at work to schedule anything. Most businesses don't reply when I email them or take days to respond but not this place! Gina replied to my email within an hour and told me what they thought the issue was. Gina quoted me a price for repairs and scheduled an appointment for Dan to come out the very next morning. Dan was extremely nice and knowledgeable. It only took him an hour to do what he needed to do. It has been about a week since he came out to fix the issue and our refrigerator has not gone out since he fixed it. The price was very reasonable and I'm so relieved that they were able to fix the problem. I will use them for future needs as well as refer them to anyone who asks. Very professional and very responsive company!
We had an issue with bad wiring from another electrician in our basement. Eric came out and was thorough in figuring out our problem. He was very direct w the costs and time to fix it and did a great job. Shortly after we had an unrelated problem and Eric talked me through trouble shooting it over the phone to save us the charge of a service call. Very considerate and professional! We will definitely use them again!
My husband and I just bought a house and used Manchester Electric to change out all of our fixtures - fans, chandeliers, bathroom lighting, broken outlets, etc. They had excellent customer service, sent out a fantastic and time efficient electrician (thanks Dan!), and were very reasonably priced. I have already recommended them to my friends, and I would definitely use them again.
Revised: The owners have been in contact with me and have taken steps to address my concerns. They sincerely care about their customers and have taken the steps to make the situation right. First the good: My wife and I wanted canned lighting in our kitchen to replace crummy, low-end fixtures. Manchester Electric came out and gave us a bid on the job after we were told by another contractor that it could not be done. They were honest and up front about the work and the overall price was very close to what we’d researched and budgeted. Whenever I phoned to pay the initial deposit or had questions, I was treated with the utmost courtesy. Gina is terrific and their customer service in the office is second to none. The not so good: The technician that came out to do the job had a less than professional demeanor. Whenever we have someone out to the house to do any indoor work, they always have some sort of shoe covers. I’m not sure if he didn’t have them or just didn’t care but we had dirt tracked all over our floors. As he was finishing up the first day, one of the lights he installed had a sizeable gap from the ceiling as if it wasn’t pushed up all the way. I pointed this out and he offhandedly mentioned that he had already put his ladder away and to tell whoever came out the following day and they’d take care of it. This doesn’t rank very high on my awful meter, but I got the feeling that had I not said anything he would have just pretended it wasn’t there. He then looked around at the various pieces of sheetrock and wiring on the floor and asked if I had a broom. I will mention that he did place a drop cloth down but I thought it was bizarre that he did not possess the means to clean up after a job. I knew someone would be back the following day so I just told him to forget about it. The bad: Same guy came out for about an hour on the following day to complete the job (still no shoe covers). Some extra cutting in our ceiling was required. I want to note that we were aware there could be damage to the sheetrock. We understood that from our contract and assume full responsibility for repairs. That is not my complaint. My complaint is he used no drop cloth and pieces of sheetrock and dust completely covered our sink and surrounding countertops. There were also chunks of it dragged through the kitchen floor. Even worse, he made ZERO attempt to clean up. He simply folded his ladder, collected payment and went about his way. I understand it was later in the day and he probably wanted to get home but I would NEVER leave a customer’s house in that condition. No matter how small the mess, it’s simply inexcusable.
