We have been very fortunate over the years in not requiring electrical services to our home, but unfortunately that meant I had not previously become acquainted with Mike Daigneault, owner of Williamsburg Electrical Services. Happily I reached out for help by a visit to the nearby Electrical Union Office, and they provided a short list of Union Shops that would come to my home and provide the skilled and qualified electricians I wanted: for although the job was a very minor modification to the house wiring—the replacement of a superfluous attic exhaust fan with a standard switched two-plug outlet—the location in the attic was a critical safety matter requiring that it be done to Code. I am happy to report that Mr. Daigneault understood my concerns immediately, and the two skilled electricians who were sent were completely informed and provided with suitable materials to accomplish the goal I sought without any further discussion. I was almost astonished by the speed and efficiency of their work, and I am delighted with what they accomplished. They were in and out so quickly that I could not remember the names of the individuals, but those who know me well will not be surprised to hear that—both of the men were very friendly and courteous—and professional—but they moved like lightning! The whole experience has made me very happy—even the cost was very reasonable, and I am also very grateful to the Union’s Business Agent for his taking the trouble to assist me in addressing my needs! UPDATE: Today, Monday, December 18, 2023, my wife's new range was delivered: and we were all surprised to discover that the old range had been plugged into a 240V Dryer receptacle which had been installed many years ago by non-Union labor. THIS time Williamsburg Electrical Services came to the rescue, replacing the non-standard receptacle with a dedicated 240V Range Receptacle in less than half an hour this very afternoon. We are very pleased!
