(Original Post) If somebody here has some suggestions on what to do---I'm trying to get my money back from Seattle Foundation Repair. I paid the deposit they requested, SFR did the demo, but didn't built the wall--I followed up for several months (email, phone, their call center in the Philippines), I also asked for help from Better Business Bureau (who responded by saying SFR is not responding to them either), but I'm still owed money and they just don't respond. Brandon or Joshua, if you check your google reviews--can you please respond? Anyway, if anyone here has similar experience or has some suggestions. I'm not trying to be negative on this business--but I think SFR should return my deposit since the work was not done (despite several months of follow-up). Thanks. I'm sharing this here because the point of Google Reviews is to help consumers like myself. My experience has really been negative. I'm sharing the details here so you can judge for yourself if this is how you would like to be treated. Start here-->Seattle Foundation Repair failed to deliver on the project to get the job done--the agreement is to get it done February 2025 I followed up on 2/11, 2/13, 2/15 with no reply I got a reply on 3/2 blaming the weather in February, but at least 3 weeks of acceptable weather had passed and they never reached out to reschedule or anything despite my multiple attempts to reach out (I'm only including my email follow ups, but I also tried to reach out by phone, they have a call center in the Philippines that answers calls) 3/4 email from Rea saying they would reply by 3/5 3/5 no update from Rea/Seattle foundation 4/2 follow up from me, no response 4/8 follow up from me, no response 4/14 follow up from me, repeating demand and cancellation so I can just move on, i made a specific request that all correspondence is through email only 4/15 i got a vague response from rea saying they are escalating the issue, but no substance (one month passes) 5/12-5/13, Brandon agrees to refund. I reviewed a "bid" brandon to calculate a refund but there were errors --- the worst part is that they added items that were not even in the original bid and saying they delivered on those items so they can reduce refund of my deposit and I resent a request to correct these errors 5/2025, i get several recycled bid documents that made no sense and did not follow the thread of our conversation, I asked for correction/clarification, no response 6/2025, no update from brandon (owner) 7/2025, no update from brandon (owner) 7/7/2025, follow up email from me ( no response) 8/26/2025, follow up email email from me 09/06/2025, email from Rea saying I should have heard from  "Tatiana" but I never heard from any person called Tatiana from Seattle Foundation--first time I've heard of this name associated with this business; Rea requested I take down my Google Review, I wrote back to ask them to give me back my deposit, and to let them know I have not had any contact from anyone called Tatiana and have no idea who they're talking about 09/12/2025. Received phone message from Rea from Philippines asking if Brandon and Tatiana can meet 9/18 to discuss refund. I wrote back to decline to meet because there is nothing that needs in person discussion - You didn't do the job, please give me back my deposit. If you want to communicate, please email me, because I do respond back.

I spoke with Brandon today as well as the office several times to set up this telephone conference. Everybody was very professional and easy to speak with. Brandon in particular went out of his way to understand the specific details related to our project and he had previously looked at the plans and was knowledgeable about the overall concept prior to the telephone conference.

I signed a contract with SFR in January to repair a significant dip in my home's interior floor and install drainage from my gutters to prevent further damage. The bid included handling the permitting process, which I paid extra for. The project began in March and was supposed to take two weeks. However, halfway through, the city shut it down because SFR had failed to secure any of the required permits. From that point on, I had to take over the entire permit process myself. SFR was completely unhelpful. They ignored emails, delayed responses for weeks (sometimes over a month), and even argued with the city’s permitting office because their bond didn’t meet the city's requirements. The only reason the project was able to continue at all was due to the city’s flexibility—not SFR’s efforts. It’s now August, and the permits are just being finalized—something that should’ve taken less than a month. We chose SFR because their proposal seemed the most comprehensive. It came at a high cost, but they gave the impression they knew what they were doing. In reality, there was a major disconnect between the salesperson and the crew doing the work. The installer was unaware of several things included in the bid, and I was constantly stuck in the middle, explaining what we paid for and what still needed to be done. After most of the work was finished, the original floor dip was still there. When I contacted SFR, the salesperson came back and said it would cost another $15,000 to fix—on top of the $75,000 we’d already spent. I tried to work with them to reduce costs, but they refused to use any standard or affordable materials and insisted on their proprietary "special" products. At that point, we were done. Even closing out the project was a headache. It took over six weeks just to get a response so we could review the final costs. I had also paid them to remove the large pile of dirt left over from their work, but the crew only hauled away half. I had to schedule another visit just to get the rest removed. I’ve worked with a lot of contractors—some good, some bad—but SFR has been by far the worst. They were uncommunicative, disorganized, and unwilling to take responsibility for their mistakes. If you’re thinking of hiring them, I urge you to reconsider. I’m out $75,000, and my home looks exactly the same. It was the worst investment I’ve ever made, and I hope no one else has to go through what I did.

We needed extensive foundation work, drainage diversion and crawlspace clean out (including duct sealing and insulation) We received three quotes. Brandon thoroughly explained the recommended work, estimate, and options to us, and, answered our many questions. Work started on time, completed a bit earlier than scheduled (with minimal disruption), including an unexpected fix, and cleaned up the work site to our satisfaction. Thomas, Daniel and the rest of the team were extremely professional, answered our questions and addressed all concerns throughout. They partner with NW Crawlspaces for work they don't handle - great experience with them as well. We highly recommend both companies.

While purchasing a home, we called on Saturday hoping for a Monday appointment. They had availability, were extremely timely and sent an absolutely excellent technician. No doubt I will continue to work with them for all foundation repairs and maintenance!

Seattle Foundation Repair responded quickly to my request for an estimate to repair the damage to my home's foundation. They sent out a repair technician within a week of my initial call. The technician expertly diagnosed the problem with my foundation and recommended a repair that was well within my budget. He did not attempt to oversell repairs that I did not need. I felt confident that I was getting excellent advice on how to repair my foundation.

Everyone was very professional and polite, from the office staff to the estimator to the crew doing the work. The crew doing the work was very communicative and texted and called me during the process to check on details. End result turned out great, lifted a large slab in front of house to level it with the driveway, and leveled out two small portions that had cracked off the main slab. There was one small cosmetic issue and the project manager followed up to have someone come back out to fix that up. Overall positive experience, would recommend.
