As part of getting ready to put our house on the market, we reached out to Level Engineering to get input about some cracks and settling we noticed. Steven Norton came out to survey the property and take measurements, and was extremely professional, courteous, and reassuring in his willingness to explain everything. We ended up getting a stamped report, which he delivered promptly, to state that the house is safe to occupy and that repairs weren't needed. I would highly recommend using Level Engineering (and Steven) for situations like this. Selling a house is always stressful, but their service helped to put our minds at ease.
Following a site visit and verbal consultation with one of Level Engineering's engineers, I paid $360 for a 'Phase II Report of Verbal Opinion'. Over the course of the next month, I made a couple of requests to obtain the report from the engineer whom always replied that it would be available by week's end. It never was. Eventually, I contacted the Better Business Bureau to resolve the issue. A week or two later, the engineer emailed me asking if I still desired the report or a refund. I chose the latter. A few days later Scott Zurn, Level Engineering's founder and CEO, emailed me apologizing for the report's delay and stipulated my signature was required in order to process the refund. The email contained a link to a document on DocuSign--a non-disclosure agreement. The agreement essentially barred me from detailing my negative experience with the company. I declined to sign and I have not yet received the refund. This behavior from a "professional" company is outrageous. I paid for a service that was never rendered. Repayment should not require my silence. Update: I ultimately received my refund postmarked 2025-07-01 without signing an NDA. Any smart business person would have provided the report at no cost after such an event.
We needed to have a structural engineer/inspector take a look at our home to ensure it didn’t have any issues with shifting or cracking before we put it on the market to sell. Steven came out and took a thorough look and reassured us that the home was structurally sound and didn’t have any issues associated with it. Steven was responsive, respectful, and thorough in his analysis. Highly recommend Level Engineering and Inspection!
I have been working with Sheri on a house addition. I am a novice to construction. She is very knowledgeable and responsive on my requests. I would highly recommend her. Update from my previous comments. The addition is finally started. I have made several revisions in the process. Sheri has responded quickly and done the designs right. I am new to the process. She has explained the details from foundation to structure materials. With her help, I can handle this entire project myself instead of hiring a general contractor.
Dear Level Engineering, I received Ashley Mendez as a reference for structural engineering design and support through a good colleague/friend of mine. I reviewed several companies/competitors prior to this word of mouth reference, but after speaking with Ashley, it was clear Level Engineering, and more specifically, Ashley was the right person to support my home project needs. Ashley was very knowledgeable on structural design, was distinctly clear and concise on the topics at hand, answered all of my technical questions, and was sure to keep my best interests in mind first - top tier customer service. I was very impressed during her first visit to my property and her technical review to provide several solutions to support my project requirements. She was very involved through the project execution and answered queries to roadblocks and/or technical clarification timely. Ashley made the process to complete the work safely easier, ensured the work was carried out according to the design drawings, and improved my project cost and schedule. I’ve really enjoyed getting to work with Ashley and will definitely be keeping her and Level Engineering in mind for any future project needs. Thanks for being available and accommodating my project with such short notice. Engineering community - please give Level Engineering a call for any of your project needs. This is a place you should contact before making any final decisions - they are cost competitive and have great staff to ensure you receive the support you need to achieve your project requirements. We were referred to Level Engineering by our general contractor when we needed engineering plans put together for a home renovation project. We are lucky to have been put in touch with Level Engineering and Chris, the engineer on our project. Throughout the project, Chris has been easy to get a hold of, great at explaining things, upfront about pricing, and fantastic at meeting (and beating) deadlines. He has gone above and beyond to help us ensure we have had everything we needed for our project to get approved, including several site visits and even proactive contact with the reviewer at the City of Denver. We would not have had a clue where to start when it came to all of the required plans and paperwork, so feel fortunate to have had Chris on our team throughout this project. He’s done great work and we’d definitely use Level Engineering again if the need surfaces.
I worked with Stephen and Hailey. The team at Level Engineering from top to bottom were professional and responsive. I had the best experience in gathering the information I needed to make a decision on a home purchase. The information relayed to me was concise, precise and in a way I could completely understand the technical aspects of the engineering requirements necessary to remedy my concerns. I would recommend this team again and again.
