I don't think Sempre Fi & America's Fund understand what they have just done for me and my family. I would like to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to Heather and her team at the agency for the outstanding assistance they provided during a challenging time in my life. When I reached out for rental assistance due to circumstances, including loss of income and an accident that required paying off auto deductible, fixing the vehicle before returning the lease that was involved in the accident, paying over mileage, I didn't know what to do. It's like all the money I saved up for was gone within two days because of a car accident. The impact of these events left me in a difficult position, struggling to catch up on my bills for over a year. Therefore, I cannot emphasize enough how grateful I am for the prompt and efficient support I received. I contacted Semper Fi just three days ago and was remarkably approved within that timeframe, maybe it was because I had all of the proof and documents? Not sure what it was, but I am so very thankful! As I embark on a new job opportunity, I feel a renewed sense of hope and determination to regain my financial stability. With this assistance, I am no longer in the cycle of playing catching up on bills; instead, I can focus on moving forward, saving, and maintaining my independence. Thank you once again, Semper Fi, for your invaluable support. Your assistance has made a tremendous impact in my life!!

My husband is a disabled veteran and we have an underage son, along with myself (also disabled but still waiting on S.S. benefits that I will probably never receive) and my husband's service ‍ . We were homeless for 6 months, reached out to this charity for ANY ASSISTANCE and we received NOTHING! Not even help with food! My son is now suffering from severe CRONIC PTSD (we all are but he is just a child) from having to live in a small car that was jammed packed with some of our belongings. SAD! One thing they did do was take every bit of our documents, ie: DD-214, social security cards, etc and used those to fund their organization and left us HIGH AND DRY! THANKS FOR NOTHING EVEN THOUGH THEY RECEIVED TAX CREDITS FOR OUR INFORMATION! REALLY CRAPPY! And we still have none of our things. In fact everything we own is stuck in a storage facility multiple states away and we can't find any assistance. We have to sleep on the hard floor with no blankets, pillows, mattresses, furniture, kitchen items ....

Best organization around they have gone above and beyond to help me! 4 years ago I was homeless and they payed my down payment and first months rent in the apt I have now! Every year they send us gift cards for our birthdays. Loved going to Montana for horseback riding through the mountains and Colorado to go rafting in the river and rock climbing all thanks to the fund!

I was introduced to The Fund in 2019 when I was at my lowest. I was full of deep wounds and carried such guilt and shame. I also wasn’t a descent human being. I allowed my trauma and my pain to bleed all over people who never cut me. My care team (Debra, Stacey, Jasper, and many others) believed in me before I could even have an ounce of hope or believe in myself. Through the up’s and down’s, I can truly say with deep conviction that this organization has remained "Always Faithful," while also requiring me to step up to the plate of life and put the work in. Instead of giving me a hand-out and feeling sorry for me, my team has worked with me to develop an action plan that has slowly changed my life. Where I once struggled with severe PTSD and addiction, I am now sober for 3 1/2 years and learning to manage my PTSD in healthy, healing ways. Where I once isolated and hurt other people, The Fund has taught me how to live in community with others and work towards healthy, meaningful relationships. Where I once lost my desire to live, my V2V has taught me to develop meaningful personal goals that are priceless to me. One such goal is my desire to be reunited with my sons in another state while I finish college. Healing is not easy, and life can be really hard sometimes. But this organization has stood by me on the mountain tops and walked with me through my valleys. They’ve encouraged me to become at least 1% better everyday. My team has touched my heart and taught me the tools to allow me to change my own life. I am deeply grateful for The Fund. Your support goes a long way, and there will be generations because of you. Thank you to the donors, the volunteers, the workers, and the spirit that makes The Fund hold true to its motto - Semper Fidelis!

Ever since my military friend told me about SF & AF they have truly been there for me and my family. My case manager reaches out to check on me, sends me birthday cards and always shows she cares about my health & well-being. I have participated in many events, participated in their "TEAM" sports and have done many virtual events during covid. They are a true blessing and the best non profit for military, veterans, and their families and support all branches! Thank you!

They hosted our reunion in Texas. Wonderful people that pass a ton of knowledge. The reviews on here that are 1 star must not have been patient with the process. Shame on them for trying to bring down a great organization. They must be chasing those free dollars. At least that's the way I read it.

Applied three times and all three times I was given a different excuse. If you are going to use the name "Semper Fidelis" to represent your nonprofit, at least know what it stands for. Even with 80% VA rating they still won’t help a fellow Marine. No problem helping other Army Vets, but not a Marine. I recently learned that they promised to help another Veteran with moving his family to another state after being discharged and they left him hanging with all the travel move expenses.
