American Overhead Door

Scheduled a tech to come out and fix my garage door. Tech showed up on time and was very knowledgeable. Turned out it was a 5 min fix and he didn’t charge me anything despite my attempt to pay something. They now have a new loyal customer.

2nd time I've had them out to repair a hinge and they've done a great job both times. Got here early and finished in less than 30 minutes. Should probably replace the door the next time another hinge goes out, and will definitely use these guys to do it! Highly satisfied!

Called the other night because we popped a spring and couldn’t get out of our garage and got the after hours number. Asked if we could have someone come out after hours and replace the springs, I was told it was over $400 just to come out, and $200+ per hour not including parts, etc. It was only 6pm, it’s not like we were calling after midnight. Asked the lady on the phone to leave a message for the office to have them call me back in the morning. I still haven’t heard from them, which is all well and good, it didn’t take too many phone calls to find someone who was willing to come out, was extremely knowledgeable, and the prices were reasonable. I would be more understanding if they didn’t have an on-call and that was their price to get a tech out to do the work, but they do, and I find it weird that their price model to use it is so prohibitive.

So we were completely ripped off by the Palmer Lake, Colorado location. 628 CO 105, Palmer Lake, CO 80133. We called for assistance on 24August23 and a James McGuffey came to our house. Said he could help but might take a bit because parts were hard to get. Asked us to write a $250 check. We did. Same day a check cashing service called us asking if we wrote him a check. We said yes. We called the business several times to leave a message with no response. Went by today and the store front is up for rent. Total sham and I guarantee we are out our money. Never doing business with this entire chain again. They still have an active phone number going to a call centera nd website for this location. Whatever you do don't call this business. If I could post a photo of the closed up business to this review I would.

I will only use American Overhead Door company for my business, rental homes and personal home. They get the jobs done quickly, efficiently and are very honest. I have peace of mind with this company and strongly recommend them. The last two times they had sent out the same technician...Thank-you for your great work JJ!!! -Jami

Ordered the door thru Home Depot who contracted it with American Overhead Door, first appointment to confirm measurements and then garage doors ordered. While supply chain issues impacted we were updated and not left in the dark. Recieved call that doors were ready for installation, set appoint for a few days later. On the day of installation recieved message that our technician, Dezmend, is on time for 9am appointment. He arrived on time and explained that it would take about 2 1/2 hours to install both garage doors which he was spot. Upon completion helped navigate setting app on phone for remote access.

What can I say!? The best service ever. Garage door springs broke at 1:30, called AOD at 2:00, the service guy was at my house at 2:45, repair finished in a half hour!! GREAT SERVICE!!! Highly recommend them! Service done with a smile. I didn't think this was still possible. AOD, you've got one happy customer. Thank you!!☺
