Universal Iron Doors & Hardware

Replaced seven doors with Universal Iron Doors products. All the doors were exactly as ordered and Edmond and his crew of seven did an excellent job with the installation. I am very happy with the doors as they arrived exactly as they were ordered without a single noticeable defect. The workmanship is of exceptional quality and they are very well finished. The doors were installed over a day and a half and the crew took all the debris with them leaving the jobsite immaculate. The crew seemed to enjoy working together and were professional and courteous. They clearly knew their product and installation went smoothly. Universal Iron doors was easy to work with from start to finish and were very responsive to any problem that came up. I would highly recommend them to do business with.

Beyond happy with our new door from Universal Iron Doors, thank you! After a horrible experience with another door company, we were pleasantly surprised at how professional Universal treated us. Harry was clear and came through on what he sold us. The delivery and installation was prompt. Installer, Ashot, and his assistant were professional, courteous, and they did an amazing job! Will highly recommend and plan to return in the future! Love our new door!

I want to start by saying the doors we received from this company are absolutely beautiful. The quality, design, and craftsmanship are excellent, and we are very happy with the product itself. My low rating has nothing to do with the door. The issue was the customer service experience after the sale. I was assigned to a sales representative named Madina. In the beginning, the communication was great—texting, emailing, and coordinating the order. She was helpful and pleasant throughout that initial process. Our home was under renovation, so we didn’t install the door right away. Once we finally did, we realized the lock and handle set were missing (correction by the reviewer - meant got lost). I contacted Madina, and again she was very responsive. This was on a Friday afternoon. She explained that the hardware was custom and typically not replaceable, but she went out of her way to locate one in the warehouse. The cost was $200 per piece, plus $100 for shipping. So a total of $500 for a set of handle and lock. I accepted it because we needed the lock urgently; our furniture had already been moved in and we had no way to secure the door. I asked specifically for the hardware to ship as soon as possible please, and gave my card details to her (because they have no technology to place the order online!!) at 12:30 California time. By Tuesday morning, the package was still sitting in their warehouse and had not even been picked up by UPS. The shipping method used was UPS Ground from California to Charlotte, which takes at least five business days. Considering the urgency, the $100 shipping charge, and the fact that the order was placed on Friday, this was frustrating. When I reached out for clarification, the communication changed. I was told by Madina she did her job, placed the order and it was not her job to follow up on shipping and that I should contact UPS myself. At some point she even said "I gave a favor and I guess, no good deed goes unpunished". I paid $500 for a pair of door handles and a lock, and it took me 10 days to receive them and she gave me a favor!! Please, at least, don’t make fun of my intelligence. From my perspective, if the company charges a premium for shipping (or economy) and the sales representative is the customer’s point of contact, ensuring the order is properly processed and shipped is part of the service. I wasn’t asking for special treatment—just basic follow-through on an urgent order I had already paid for. Overall, the product is excellent, but the communication and follow-up after the sale left a very negative impression. Customer service is just as important as product quality, especially when dealing with custom items, high shipping costs, and time-sensitive situations.

I love my new doors! From start to finish the process was easy! I worked with Sarkis over the phone. He helped me with measurements. Ashot and Vilen came to install the doors and were very professional and did a great job and cleaned up afterwards! I would highly recommend Universal Iron Doors!!

Great service! Started with Harry and the ordering process. He really helped with some things we were unsure about and turned out great. Then Crystal setting up the installation to work around our schedule. Then the guys, Vahe and Ed that came to install did an excellent job. Took off the old door and installed the new door perfectly. The were very careful and left everything clean as when they arrived. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Harry, Crystal, Vahe and Ed!!

Sarkis was my sales consultant at Universal Iron Doors and Hardware. He helped me every step of the way, from educating me about the product, to helping me make decisions about design, and even put up with my frequent questions, Text messages, and indecision - handling all with patience and support. Vahe and Karen installed my new iron door today and it’s perfect. It’s so beautiful !!! And these installers were professional, quick and took great care protecting nearby furniture during installation. Great workmanship. Edmond and Philip Just installed our front doors. They did an absolutely amazing job going above and beyond our expectations. They were very professional and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend.
