Harmony Electric & Lighting

If you need knob and tube upgraded to code (or just normal outlets and light switches...), Harmony is the group to work with! They know what they're doing and did a great job replacing our entire house. They are honest and also well priced in comparison to the other quotes we got. They did a nice job overall. My one complaint is that they left a decent amount of scraps from the electrical work done in our basement, but they were very tidy in the rest of our house, so I'm not bothered. I would hire them again for this work in a heartbeat.

Have to sadly say that this was a disappointment -- I called about a table lamp repair, I was told I could drop off the lamp at a location in Fitchburg because "everybody's out in the field," but the service door would be open and I could leave the lamp -- "Call if its locked and I'll give you the code to get in." I made a long special drive to this place, in a warehouse district, and everything was locked up. Nobody home. I called the number and all I got was a voice mail box. Left a message, hoping someone would call me back while I was still out doing errands; no one ever called me back. This was a colossal waste of my time. Will take this job and other future business elsewhere.

Brought in a desk lamp that had a broken switch. Don fixed it up in less than a week at a very affordable price. Extremely friendly customer service and great communication. Will definitely use their services in the future when needed!

Don and his crew were able to swap out 2 faulty service panels for me and set us up with an actual ground wire so we could meet code. It was a quick turn around from the quote. His crew finished work quickly and ahead of schedule, and they waited patiently while inspectors were delayed. Very reasonable, definitely will use Harmony Electric & Lighting again.

Don Harmony provided excellent service, good communication, and reasonable costs for his service. I would especially recommend him if you have an older house that needs updating. He rewired, added outlets, and installed modern light fixtures-- all with efficient effort and thorough care. He also answered his phone when clients called during working hours. He has been the only craftsman who answered every time I called, and he always let me know ahead of time when he would come. Don, and his partner Brian, also gave us an excellent price for all of their work. I expected to pay at least double what they charged. I highly recommend Harmony Electric.

Just got off the phone with Don - need some help evaluating non-code electrical issues in a house we may purchase. What an absolute breath of fresh air in what has been an otherwise stressful experience! Helpful, kind, responsive and went out of his way to get someone to come out on short notice to do a bid. Will update if/when work commences, but so far, I totally understand all the positive reviews for Harmony! Thanks Don 🙂

Very responsive and quick to get work done/scheduled while still doing an amazing job. Minimal damages done from the knob and tube removal - just a few 3 in holes from replacing the wiring to all the light fixtures in the house. So easy to work with, and went above and beyond when a few things came up during the work (for instance, when our sconces turned out to not have a switch on them, they installed switches on them for no additional charge). Couldn't recommend more and will definitely be going back to them for any more future electrical work. Competitively priced as well, especially considering the quality of work done - other estimates were even slightly more.
