Marney's Home Inspections

I cannot say enough incredible things about Ben! He goes ABOVE and BEYOND for my clients and they are always overwhelmingly pleased with his services. He is thorough, realistic, and an incredible communicator. Ben explains things in a clear and concise manner and is always willing to go the extra mile with a smile on his face. Truly can't recommend him enough- he is truly wonderful at what he does!

We used Marney’s Hope Inspections to inspect two houses for us and we were so happy with the results both times. Ben is so knowledgeable and takes his job seriously but what I love most about him is that he’s so detail oriented and goes through every any detail of the house he is inspecting. Also his price is pretty fair specially considering the time that he spends on each house. Will definitely work with him again!

Ben Marney was courteous and very personable. Before retirement, I spent over 10 years performing or supervising repairs, additions, and full renovations of modest and very large residences, along with some commercial structures. I have personally observed several professional residential inspectors with Ben Marney being the best I have encountered. He was very organized, thorough, and familiar with the advanced mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in this property. His inspection tool set was impressive and he was thorough in explaining their utility and the data they provided. His report was detailed, not laborious and, along with his explanations, gave me confidence to make a plan to remedy the deficiencies he noted.

Ben did aa inspection in a home for us during the home buying process and he was fantastic in all areas. He was thorough, personable, and took great care in exposing what everything meant. The report we received that day was also amazing, and we look forward to being able to reference to complete any work we might wish to do in the future.

Ben was an absolute pleasure to work with! His experience and attention to detail were extremely professional and he answered every question I had in a way that was easily understandable. Thanks to Ben, I was able to highlight issues he found on a house that the seller wasn’t even aware of and get those issues taken care of before closing on the house! I would recommend using Ben for all of your future house inspection needs!

My inspector, Ben, was easy to work with on scheduling and a joy during the inspections process. Very professional and knowledgeable. Ben explained every part of the clearly and provided a detailed and understandable inspection report. Pricing was very reasonable.

Ben is a treasure, and I do not say that lightly. I've had a horrible experience with a bad property manager letting my home (literally my home, my first house that I bought and lived in for years until I got married and moved away) fall into inexcusable disrepair, including failing to address significant storm damage from Helene (yes, months ago). The insurance adjuster was a less-than-conscientious sort, so I called Ben in to do an inspection and document the condition of the property. When I complained to the insurance company about the adjuster and was re-assigned, the new and thorough agent assigned said that Ben's work, including videos and 3D movable photos, was more than sufficient for his needs in re-evaluating the claim. As it turns out, the insurance coverage did increase, but even if it hadn't, Ben's work was excellent. He's not only good at his job, but he's also exceptionally trustworthy and kind. My situation was stressful, as is buying or selling a home, and that kindness made the situation just a little easier to handle.
