BVA Home Inspections

We were very pleased and impressed with Bryan at BVA. He was also very professional, prompt, and responsive. I contacted 3 companies to do our inspections after doing my due diligence. Bryan replied in a matter of minutes on the weekend, the second responded a few days later and the third one still hasn’t responded. I would definitely recommend BVA and will use them again in the future if the need arises. We will absolutely refer friends and family that are needed inspections.

Bryan missed several items that were defective during the inspection which has cost me over $2,800 in repairs/ replacements. If I would have known about these items I would have negotiated differently during the purchase process. I notified Bryan of all the missed items. He told me that he reported this issue to his insurance company & that someone would reach out to me. I have yet to hear from anyone. I also asked Bryan for a refund for the inspection cost to somewhat help offset all the extra expenses I wasn’t expecting. He ignored my email request. Unprofessional, incompetent, unreliable.

I must admit, getting a home inspection in order to get insurance for a home I intend to purchase wasn't on the top of the list of things I was looking forward to doing. Mainly because the house is over 80 years old and I was just terrified of getting a bad report. But, I came to realize that whether it was good or not so good news, the inspection was for me and to help me to make an informed decision on what I was about to do. So I like to thank Bryan Vanarsdale for doing a complete and thorough inspection and explaining to me his findings. I needed a 4-point inspection on short notice to switch home insurance, and Bryan at BVA Home Inspections delivered above and beyond. He was friendly, courteous, and right on time. Even though the attic wasn’t part of the 4-point, he took the time to walk me through it and answer my questions. He used a drone for the roof inspection, eliminating the need for risky climbing, and provided clear, high-quality photos that made me look good with my insurance company.
