I want to warn everyone do not hire Keith Hagler or realtor Keith Deerman. They lied and neglected to inform me on several serious problems with the house. I am finding new things every day. It ranges from mold in the AC, ducts, and walls. Previous replacement on plumbing and a fake tub. Hole in the refrigerator. loose and buckled flooring. Me and my daughter have been sick due to toxic mold in the air from mold in ducts. He called all the areas to be marginal work. He said be $1000 to fix all he listed. It has cost me $1000's already. It is just horrible how they manipulated me and will do low down lies for a buck. God will protect me but the wrath before God for those who hurt the innocent. Justice be served from up above. My burden is light. I just wanted to advise not do business with this company.
Mr. Keith does a fantastic inspection. My realtor hired him the first time. When I moved again, I called Keith to inspect the next house. Also he takes the time afterwards to answer questions while he's still at the house. He's been inspecting for 30 years, I appreciate his honesty and integrity.
Keith has been doing home inspections for 26 years. He was thorough and friendly and tested everything that was accessible. Everyone that is leaving negative reviews do not understand that a home inspection is NOT an engineering assessment. Home inspectors are there to inform you of the general condition of the home and Keith did that and more!
Keith has done over 5 home inspections for me and countless inspections for buyers I assist. He is the best in town! Very thorough, easy to communicate with, and extremely affordable. He works hard to provide a detailed report in a timely manner. Can’t recommend Keith enough!
We are quite disappointed with the inspector's lack of thoroughness. He neglected to mention the following items that we found in the first several hours after moving into the home: broken outdoor outlet, non-working indoor outlet, medium-large sized hole under a sink covered by shelf liner, dimming lights with appliance use, and inadequate weather stripping around front door. These are to name a few of the most obvious and rememberable defects not mentioned by Mr. Keith Hagler. He did list a number of other items that were beneficial to know. He mentioned the chimney was leaning, which this can be assessed from the street, yet no mention of what the structural integrity or possible cause of the lean. However, when making a purchase this large and significant, one wants the most they can about the decision. This requires being able to trust someone with experience and knowledge to highlight defects that could have been included in the purchase agreement. We believe other inspectors would have identified the same issues he documented and more. He may have both qualities, but it is not reflected in his report and at our cost. Update: 2 months after purchase. We noticed a possible sagging in our master bedroom (built over the garage). Consulted a building professional who told us the master bedroom was settling towards the middle, due to the garage not having proper support. This is was not questioned in the inspection report whatsoever and the inspector did not remark that a building engineer should be consulted. This negligence is estimated to cost us $3,700 (updated from foundation specialist) to have the bedroom supported appropriately. Update 1yr later: Ductwork and insulation had to be replaced for $3,200 due to poor attic ventilation, not mentioned in the report or any biological growth visibly noticeable in attic. Foundation specialistst evaluated the home yesterday and indicated 2" of settling of the foundation in 2 corners that's going to require $6859 to correct. Total cost ~$10,580. Do NOT use this inspector.
Heat was left on in July. Dirty hand prints were left on newly painted walls. Did it seem to know how to operate light switches in a house built in the 60’s. Did not seem to understand things built in the 60’s that still work today may or different from things that don’t work today. Did not seem to know property codes or requirements. Do not use these people.
Best by far! I wish other inspectors were as thorough and knowledgeable as Keith. My buyers have been very pleased with his work. Thank you!
