Accuspect Home Inspections

I actually used this company twice on the recent purchase of a home. I placed an offer with an inspection contingency. Brian was able too identify a critical issue in the home and after having a professional follow up on the concern found a fairly significant issue with an electrical problem. Saved me money. I used him for the next offer, and was very happy with the service. Thank you to this company for saving me a future headache and frustration. If you’re buying a house, get an inspection. Incomplete inspection leads to $4,000 in repair costs. I am writing this review to warn other homebuyers, especially fellow veterans, about my experience with Brian Young of Accuspect Home Inspection. I hired him for a pre-purchase home inspection and ended up with a $4,000 unexpected bill just weeks after closing. The most significant issue was the electrical panel and breaker box, which had to be completely replaced due to undisclosed problems. I was told by my realtor that Brian was thorough and reliable, especially for electrical matters. However, when I called Mr. Young for an explanation, he revealed that he does not perform invasive inspections, such as removing the electrical panel cover. This practice seems to have allowed him to miss significant issues that any competent inspector should have identified. In addition, two separate storage buildings were not included in the inspection, forcing my realtor to arrange for a separate inspection to cover what should have been part of the initial service. The cost of his inspection was around $500–$600, but his incomplete work has cost me far more. I strongly advise against hiring this inspector. His oversight cost me a substantial sum of money and could have been avoided with a more thorough inspection.

Brian does a great job with providing a detailed home inspection while helping me prioritize which projects need immediate attention. His understanding within the construction industry helps reinforce my prioritization in order to complete projects in the most cost effective way
