We recently had a Home & Sewer Scope inspection completed by Joey Slagle and I am so happy we chose First-In Home! Joey covered every corner of the property, from the foundation to the roof, and pointed out things we would have never noticed on our own. He took the time to explain every detail in a way that was easy to understand. The final report was comprehensive, clearly organized, and included helpful photos and explanations for every concern. We felt confidant moving forward with concessions using his report. We also needed a well inspection, and Joey recommended Chris Letson. My husband and I have absolutely ZERO experience with wells, and Chris was extremely helpful. Chris made us feel comfortable asking questions, and even provided an introduction to a private well class. I highly recommend their services to anyone looking for an honest, reliable, and detailed home inspection.

UPDATE: TWO weeks after closing: our well inspection wasn't satisfactory. First they couldn't tell us the size of our well was and I I feel like that's pretty important. Because now we are guessing trying to treat this well. I also feel like for the amount of rust that's in our water, that should have been noted somewhere on our inspection. And for the money we paid for our well inspection, they basically said it was safe to drink. I don't feel it safe to drink when we have black flakes coming out of All of the faucets and Rust that clogged the new water filter in just a few days. Definitely disappointed in our well inspection Affordable rates, HONEST, easy scheduling, always on time, and incredibly professional. Brian did our general inspection for our very first home, and he went above and beyond. The inspection report was top-notch: detailed, well-organized, and written in a way that made it easy to follow along without feeling overwhelmed. You can tell Brian really takes pride in his work and wants his clients to feel confident moving forward. For a tiny home- He didn’t just breeze through the inspection—he was there for 3-4 hours. He was thorough, patient, and really took his time to make sure nothing was overlooked. What impressed us most was that after finishing the inspection, Brian stayed to go over the report with us in person. He explained everything in a way we could actually understand—which was a huge help as first-time buyers. He even gave us a few pointers to tackle smaller fixes ourselves—something you don’t get from just any inspector. Like, how to watch for and take care of the carpenter bees that love out siding on the home we are buying lol He also sent us a very detailed inspection report by email and let us know we could reach out anytime with questions, even if it was a year down the road. Knowing he was willing to explain things further gave us real peace of mind that we chose the right company. The only "complaint"? He didn’t haul out the raccoon carcass he found in the attic—just kidding, of course I'm Joking (we know that’s not in his job description!). One thing that really set Brian apart was how personable he was—he even complimented us on how cute our tiny home was. It might seem small, but that genuine kindness made us feel even more confident that we made the right choices all the way around for our first home & inspection company.
