I initially had Mr. Rooter come out to replace an old bathroom faucet with new shut-offs. The tech Nick ( owners son ) spent most of his time complaining about his father the owner. He then broke the faucet trying to make it fit rather than just tell us it wouldn't work for that sink. We had to return the faucet for a new one at my expense.  We made another appointment with Nick to do some additional work which was to take the whole day. Nick never showed for the appointment.  It took me calling the corporate office to even get ahold of the local office, to figure out what happened. There AI phone system sucks. Apparently Nick forgot the appointment. After speaking with Duncan ( owners ) we agreed to have two techs come for the next appointment rather than taking any discounts. The techs did arrive as scheduled and completed the work in less than three hours. Everything was rushed. A grinder was used, rather than a less invasive option, to cut our shower tile. Nick made a complete mess of the shower and filled my downstairs with dust for hours. Nothing was cleaned before leaving so I had to spend the time saved cleaningup their mess. We had to have them return not once but twice to fix mistakes that Nick had made before everything was fixed to our satisfaction. After the final repair nobody but the corporate office bothered to contact us. We incurred the cost of replacing the initial faucet, shampooing our carpets, furniture and electronics to eliminate the dust they left behind ( $300 ). We then received a quote for additional work we were to have done before this mess, and the quote was three times higher than where we ended up going. We refused to have Mr. Rooter do any more work for us. We were ok with their extremely high costs due to the favorable reviews they have but after dealing with them I would advise doing your homework before using this company. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB also.

A+ service from start to finish! We had called several plumbers in the area and Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Greater Syracuse was the only local plumbing service who responded quickly. Our technician (Anthony G.) was nothing but professional and extremely helpful! 100% would recommend.

Anthony was my technician. He was very polite and very capable. The fees for service were very reasonable and my issue was quickly solved. The office people were also very friendly and helpful. I will use them again in the near future for another issue I have. They are wonderful!

Probably the most professionally run plumbing operation I have had to worked with. The attention to detail installing new sewer pipe from my house to the septic tank, it was like they were doing work on their own personal home and having the capability to pull pipe 20+ feet under ground so I did not have to tear up my deck was a big savings! It was expensive but the expertise and high quality materials hopefully will wear on long after the price is forgotten.

We had Mr. Rooter come out to change a valve and replace a few feet of copper. The coupling didn't even last a year before it started dripping. Mr. Rooter wouldn't come out and fix the work. I can't recommend a plumbing company who can't stand by their work. Edit to review: Mr. Rooter followed through with promptly resolving this issue, and went above and beyond in fixing the water leak. The plumber that came out took his time, and made the necessary repairs at no additional charge. They honored their original work and ensured everything was working before leaving.

Anthony Gardynski arrived promptly at our home, was friendly and professional and solved our issue while constantly updating us on the procedure and progress. He was very knowledgeable and confident that the problem could and would be resolved. He completed the job in our basement efficiently and completely. He was a pleasure to have in our home and we would not hesitate to call and have him address any future issues we may have. Great job !

Worst customer service I’ve ever dealt with. Mr. Rooter completely wasted my time. I had a scheduled appointment from 8 AM to 12 PM and nobody showed up. Not one courtesy call. Nothing. I called every Mr. Rooter number I could find online, and not a single one answered. The phones just rang no voicemail, no message, no human being. This is a company that advertises 24/7 service, yet apparently can’t pick up a phone. Then after 1 PM the tech finally calls, and when I said, "Are you kidding me? No call, no update?" he laughed and told me he was the "on-call tech." This was a scheduled appointment. Laughing at a customer dealing with an active drainage problem is beyond unprofessional it’s disrespectful. If you value your time, your home, or even basic communication, avoid this company. I won’t ever call Mr. Rooter again, and I’d strongly suggest others think twice before wasting a day like I did.
