I have used this company for 2 years now. Every season I aerate and seed, I have hydra guard, fertilizer and weed control, and soil enrichment. The green grass pictured is from July 6, 2025 (after a week long heat wave in late June 2025). The dead and brown grass is from end of July 2025. After regular watering in the mornings. It’s unacceptable to pay this much money for services and it literally lasts maybe 2 months before it’s dead again. I’m over it. Just go buy your own fertilizer and apply it yourself. Save the money.

Just starting out with Lawn Doctor, but so far Dylan has been spectacular to talk and work with. I'm really struggling to stay on top of the Tennessee lawn situation given my Michigan experience and Dylan has put together a solid plan. I'll update this review after we have some results! Looking forward to a nicer lawn with less work this coming season!

I have been a loyal customer for several years. It’s expensive, but my yard has looked amazing. However, I cannot recommend their services and am very disappointed by the customer service. I had my lawn aerated and seeded yesterday. I came outside to find that the technicians had run the aerator into my deck and broken my bottom step. I was home at the time and neither of technicians came to let me know what happened. I sent pictures to the company and asked that it be repaired. The company denied causing the damage, even though there are clear machinery marks on the wood and aerators holes directly underneath. They refused to pay for the damage and told me they will no longer service my yard. I have been a loyal customer and this is how I have been treated. Find a different company with better customer service.

My service with the lawn doctor has been overall great. However, today there was a disagreement between the owner and I over $200.00. I was willing to meet the owner half way on the $200.00 disagreement and pay $100.00. The owner did not want to accept my offer or the $ 300.00 dollars that I owed for the completed service. The owner felt it was best to canceled my service altogether and not accept any of my money. If ever you need to figure a person out, let one dollar get involved. I say again, the service they provided was great and I have no hard feelings against them. I will still recommend their service to others.

Update: Reposting this review under my personal Google Account, not work. Lawn Doctor reviewed in previous post and provided commentary. Thank you! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- We are in a new build home, and went with Lawn Doctor to do a full renovation, and seeding in 2024. However, in this last month our yard has really been hit hard. After they came and did a fungicide treatment and weed control (July 2025), our yard really took a hit. Please note, Nashville temps have been in the 90s. McKenna was fantastic and answered a lot of my questions. However, they noted its due to "lack of watering and heat"...but nothing about my watering schedule has changed. Since our renovation and power seeding we did their recommended watering schedule, lawn mowing recommendations, and followed all recommendations (based on what was email communicated). They're scheduled to do another power seeding next month (Sept. 2025), but based on other reviews here is what I think: - Tall Fescue is a cool season grass. Its not very heat resistant, and can thin out towards end of summer. This is the only seed they provide. - Based on other reviews, it seems like you'll need to plan to do power seeding each year, plus get on a regular schedule with your treatments - we did this but it looked like they missed one this year, per their note when I contacted them. I would recommend lawn doctor spend more time explaining this to customers on the front end. - Its going to be a financial investment. It will not be a one year and done for long term grass. While the first year our yard looked great, we're essentially having to start over. For full transparency - 2025 services + power seeding are ~$800. The first year (2024) full renovation we had + treatments + mosquito guard was ~$1400. That being said, we're still a very young yard, so maybe in the next 3-5 years our grass will be more hardy and stable. The first pictures are from August 2025, the latter July 2025 (1 month difference). I'll update my review later this fall after the power seeding. Maybe this isn't specific to Lawn Doctor? I am not sure. But, I hope this helps someone as they attempt to look for companies. Looking back, I would have researched a bit more before going with one company.

Zachery came by today for scheduled aeration & over-seeding. He did a great job and was professional and very thorough. Yard is looking better since I’ve been with Lawn Doctor after years of having it managed by another company. Great service today.
