I have been a customer for over a year. I kept the service going continuously through the winter months. At first the results were good and the weeds started to disappear. Then as I became an old customer the quality of service declined. I have sedge and other weeds that are prominent in my front yard. I called to ask about addressing this and spoke to a customer service rep that admitted he did not know about treatment methods or plans so I requested a follow up call from someone who was knowledgeable.... over a week and no call... Im not in the habit of chasing down people who don't want my money. Called to cancel my service. That was the easiest part of our interaction. The gladly canceled a long term client in under 2 minutes. I had three separate services with them. (Two of the services were relatively newer) No effort was made to rectify the issues. Not even an inquiry as to what the issues were. Its clear that they don't care about customer retention. At least it was easy to dump them...
They were good initially but over time I have seen their services decline. My lawn inspite of being in contract with them had abundance of weeds . I requested them to come out and respray but even then didn't get any significant results. I sprayed the same weeds on my own using store bought weednfeed and those weeds died . What is point on getting professional service when basic spot weeding doesn't work . I have cancelled the contract and will try to manage on my own.
I have been a loyal customer with Davenport for nearly five years, and I’m writing this review to express my disappointment with a recent experience that led me to cancel my account. Earlier today, I called to address a charge for services that were performed after I had called that morning to reschedule them. During the call, the representative (a female employee) claimed that my call occurred at 10:41 a.m. and that the services were performed at 9:41 a.m. I corrected her, explaining that I had actually called at 8:41 a.m. She then changed her statement and said the services were performed at 7:41 a.m. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it. The manager, Cody, joined the call and fully backed her version of events, despite the clear inconsistencies. This lack of honesty and accountability was extremely disappointing. I want to emphasize that my decision to cancel my account was not due to the charge itself, but because of the dishonest and unprofessional behavior displayed by both the employee and the manager. I have never encountered such poor customer service at Davenport before and sincerely hope this is not reflective of a broader change in management or company culture.
Destroyed our yard during an aeration service. I asked them about it and they offered no solution to repair this area and offered no apology for leaving our yard looking worse than how they found it when they arrived. Canceled our service. Instead of helping our yard, this team complains about the conditions of yards (too much shade, etc) and then says they don’t provide the services needed to help your yard. So I really don’t see the point in using them as a yard care company. They don’t seem to care or provide care.
My lawn is more weeds than grass after this company took over it. When I called to cancel my service, the representative Quinn hung up on me when I said why I wanted to cancel. Sooooo unprofessional. Use someone else if you want good customer service and maybe a nice lawn.
Our fence gate is always locked and I have called multiple times to let them know to ring our doorbell so that I can unlock it. The technician always does the front yard and leaves before I can even talk to him. Customer service is terrible every time I call. They claim they have a note to ring doorbell when they come- but they never do. The last straw was yesterday. I called on Wednesday to reschedule my service for next week due to the fact that no one would be home to unlock the gate the next day. I spoke to Joel who said no problem- they would text me on Sunday with a new date. We came home yesterday to find their tag on the door that they had come- clearly disregarding my confirmed request and therefore only servicing our front yard (if even that)! I will be cancelling our service and have several neighbors that feel the same way. This company cannot be trusted. Very unprofessional and rude.
Personal Experience: Horrible service! Signed up to have my front yard and two side yards treated. Come to find out a portion of the front lawn was not being treated, grass looks awful, weeds, etc. Never again!
