American Termite & Pest Control

These people are not honest. Was told the son of the company did an inspection and he never did. When I called his mom as it’s a family owned business she said he may have gone to the wrong house. Then she said he wasn’t feeling well.

I purchased a home that they were the existing pest control company for and was liking the service. Had them for a year in a half now. Today was an odd turn I never expected. While I would have rated them well, their rude and uncaring attitude was noted and unappreciated. The elder mother and father run the business and the son is the one that comes out. The son is way easier one to deal with and talk to, but this family is stuck in the past and showed today that they don’t care for those they service. The issue would have otherwise been resolved today with the sons willingness to do what was asked, but the owner parents negated what the son was willing to do, and didn’t care that I called to say that was fine for me. Basically, other than telling you a day of the week they come (which isn’t always accurate with weather or when we started with them - things change and that’s ok with me), you don’t know what time of day they come, and that requires you be on high alert and ready to catch them when they do - to point out one area or another specifically. This also requires you would be home or available to do so, and I’m not always able to be. They will argue to high heaven that having a day is all you need and that they care to give. They gave you a specific day, and that is that. They feel it’s the customers responsibility to call them period. All I asked for was a phone call or text letting me know when you would be at my house on the day you service, so I wouldn’t have to call and hunt you down to tell you about one area or another in particular. I don’t always have the time or energy to catch you when you come, and it would be helpful to just have a heads up reminder so I can share a place or two to specifically address. The owners literally told me they refuse to call or text me to let me know when they are coming to my house timeframe wise. They shared that they don’t care if they loose any business bc they have a lot of business and I don’t matter. Save your time, energy, and money, and go with a company that better cares for your home and family. They don’t, and they they made it clear that they are ok with that.

Changing my five star rating to less than a one. We had used them for pest control for several years and had a positive relationship. When we sold our house and bought our new one, we used them for dehumidifier projects for BOTH houses. For our new house, We requested new pest control services again and when they came, Gordon Sr came for some reason and berated my mom over the cheap sunroom that came with the house ( not our fault) and for NOT hiring them to build her barn. It was a Very uncomfortable appointment because of HIM. At some point, that we are not sure of, our dehumidifier quit working, as noted by an electrician doing work ( 6 months after it was installed). My mom called many times with no response. When Gordon Sr finally called, he basically said the electrician and I didn’t know what we were talking about and that it was working ( he didn’t come see) Then I called and got a rude response from his wife saying again we didn’t know what we were talking about and that it was working(even after they still never came and checked it) Finally, Gordon Jr came out and saw it was broken like we said and removed it for repair. 3 weeks later they came back and reinstalled it but left the drainage pipe draining water under the house, Instead of pushing it back through the hole they originally cut to drain outside. We don’t need a response from them or "sorry for this situation", we just fixed it ourselves and won’t use them again and definitely will tell our real estate friends to not use them either for their clients as we previously did. Problem solved.

After 20 years of paying for inspection and termite insurance I now have termites and they have abandoned me. I've been after them for two and a half months to service my insurance claim and always get put off. That's the service I get for giving them my premiums. Now I'm stuck.

I've had service with American Termite & Pest for 20 yrs and have never had a problem. They've always been friendly, courteous and attentive.

What a poorly run business - shoddy work and then attacking their customers - beware of these people at American Termite and Pest!

This company is the absolute best in service and treatment of customers! Sold for life!!
