Phillips Plumbing & Mechanical was called to do work on my condo (replace a corroded section of heating pipe). Due to their inexperience and lack of basic plumbing knowledge, they neglected to bleed the system properly after replacing the pipe. They introduced air into the system. They were called back because the heating system no longer worked after not being properly bled. They billed the condo board $2500 and boldly stated on the bill that they could not fix the heating issue because they could not find the source of the problem. Subsequently, I now have a Lien on my condo because of this issue. Phillips may be hearing from my attorney.

Have used Phillips Plumbing for 9 years now for primary residence and rental property. They have done everything from change out an entire heating system, install and maintain split systems, replace water heaters, fix water main leak, change out mixing valves. Amazing response time. Quality work. In particular Serge is extremely polite and competent. Office staff always delivers.

Excellent service and quick response! Phillips was very responsive and Kyle came out the next day to fix our A/C compressor. Reasonable prices and great service - Kyle was fantastic. We really appreciate it. This is the only HVAC company I'll use going forward. Highly recommend!

Update: John Phillips called me personally and ensured this was corrected. I agreed to a $399 maintenance while the additional draw offs and isolation valve were installed at no cost. The maintenance was performed. I'm a little disappointed that a heat exchanger descaling isn't included in what is a combustion chamber and heat exchanger cleaning service, but an additional charge. With the correct ports and isolation valve, that's a reasonably DIY friendly task, but most would probably expect it be built into the maintenance service. Prior: The boiler in my photo was installed by Phillips for $6500. It’s missing an isolation valve to the left of the HWBB output so it’s actually impossible to do an annual maintenance on it. After months of trying to talk to a tech at Phillips, one emailed me and told me that I could pay Phillips to do the maintenance, but that they would CHARGE ME TO INSTALL THE VALVE AND CORRECT THEIR OWN INSTALL. Never again. I’ll update this review if Phillips responds, and makes it right at no additional cost for our absurdly expensive boiler.

I had Phillips remove an old oil boiler and install a new gas boiler through the RISE energy efficiency incentive program. From start to finish working with Phillips was one of the best contractor experiences I've had. I received a competitive quote AT the job evaluation; the office was easy to get ahold of, and guided me through the entire RISE paperwork process; and the install team was professional, courteous, clean and fast. The final install is really neat and tidy. These guys are truly above and beyond.

John Phillips and his team have been taking care of my family and businesses for years. I love how much they care about the customer experience. They are easily accessible, and they have saved me on weekends and in the middle of the night when a tenant is having an issue. Whether it's a new install or a service call, I know when I call them, I will get a local person who answers the phone and will help me with whatever is needed. It's a lost art these days but not only are they extremely knowledgeable, but they are good people. The employees and technicians have all been trained very well. Thank you Phillips Plumbing...I appreciate all you continue to do for us. You are the best at what you do and a positive force in our community!
