Had the absolute pleasure of meeting and working with Jay Nelson and Mike Lemke when I called for a furnace tune up. Mike from the second I met him had a smile and attitude that instantly knew I was going to be taken care of. But Mike did more than that, he went far above and beyond what was needed of him to help come up with solutions that fitted my needs. The service Mike provided was by far the best I have received anywhere. Mike didn’t just care about making a sale or a dollar - he legitimately cared about helping me, and making sure I was taken care of and understanding of my personal situation. During that time we talked and laughed and learned about each other. It wasn’t just someone there working on my furnace, it was a friend that was making sure I was going to be alright. Thank you Mike for your exceptional service - the world needs more people like you. Jay Nelson was great to work with as well. He is knowledgeable, honest, and extremely friendly. He never let his smile leave - even when he had to deliver some not so great news about my furnace, but assured me that I would be taken care of. He was able to break everything down for me, and provide solutions that fitted my needs. Thank you Jay for being my first experience with Genz-Ryan, I am proud to say I will always look to you guys first for any needs
Had a great experience from sales to install on our furnace and A/C. Our furnace was red-tagged and we needed a quick solution. Genz-Ryan got us in right away, answered all our questions (thank you, Mike!) and the install team was professional and efficient. Yes, they are more expensive than other options, but they were quicker and took care of our needs right away. It was a seamless process for us.
JP and Ben were a pleasure to work with. They provided relevant options for the type of ac and furnace in addition to financing options for getting the job done. They were polite and provided options for replacing our ac and furnace. The options were presented clearly and they were able to explain the value differences for the plans. They were friendly and did a great job in helping us make a decision. They were also quick to complete the installation.
Typically I use ServicePlus, mostly because I have a monthly fee associated with them, and their pretty good BUT they haven't been able to fix this latest issue so I went out on a limb and contacted this JenzRyan guy, heard some mention on the radio and wanted to try a different service. He sends these 2 old guys, can't know why but maybe they have good work ethics - wrong... First guy, 45 year old "tech", kicks his shoes off and immediately asks for the bathroom. Sure I say, trying to be nice (more on that in a minute), 2nd guy, 40 yr old "manager" and I can see why - manager cause he doesn't know any other workable skills? 30 minutes later, the "tech" comes out of the bathroom and states they need to fix some issues with the plumbing? Sure I say, trying to be nice... He says something about a ghost, wants to get done quick and get out... Sure I say, trying to be nice. In all honesty - from the initial request and initial call back, Genz-Ryan performed WAY above expectations. The representation of the company with the 2 techs that were sent out were equally impressive in work ethics, knowledge, skill, personality, timeliness, and quality. I've had experience with both managing and maintaining relationships with subs and these 2 make me want to be in the field with them based on the above traits. REALLY, great reps for the company and one that I will use for any future needs and will highly suggest to anyone looking. I do hope that maybe Mike can get some real man-size tools soon and that maybe Dylan won't tease him so much about his little tool bag size? Can't wait to call Genz-Ryan again, maybe for the mini-splits Mike honked on about? Thanks Guys - you were a pleasure working with! Tom and Maple.
Jay Nelson came out and serviced my furnace today. Genz-Ryan provided a time slot for the technicians arrival a couple of days prior to the appointment and Jay sent a text that he was on his way along with his picture. Jay was very professional, knowledgeable and personable. He explained what he was going to test and provided the results of his work in a down to earth way. We were very impressed with Jay’s work and Genz-Ryan should be very proud to have him in their employ.
Alex, Waldo, and Ryder were all great guys and worked hard and late to get everything done same day for me. They provided some great on-site music too.
I had a broken Heat Exchanger on my 36-year-old furnace, and Mike came out the next morning, checked it out, and gave me a free quote for replacement. They walked me through all the options and price points, explaining how each would affect air quality, performance, reliability, and energy costs. They also went line by line against another estimate from another company, explaining the differences in items and what I could expect. After reviewing the quote vs. the estimate from another company, which could have gone up by as much as 25% (based on the fine print), we decided to go with Genz-Ryan, even though they were a little more expensive. Bobby & Pedro came out the next morning and got the furnace installed, as well as updated the venting and ductwork, which took a little longer than planned because the shop had provided some incorrect supplies. They were very respectful of my property and even provided a free whole-home duct cleaning (completed a couple of days later) to compete with the other company. I wish they had gone more in-depth with the education on the differences between a Smart Thermostat and a Communicating Thermostat, as I probably would have upgraded from my older Nest to something that would help me achieve the best efficiency for the furnace I purchased. That will probably be another follow-up after I do some research on my own. But we are looking forward to consistent heat throughout the house and energy savings. There are a couple of minor issues with the installation that I will be following up on over the next couple of days (which I hope will increase the review to 5 stars), but otherwise, I look forward to working with you in the future. I already know I have electrical needs and a new AC unit on the horizon. Thank you
