Hi. My name is Roger, and I won Five Stars Home Services "Scariest Furnace Contest" and had my new, totally free furnace installed last week and I couldn't be happier! I'm a 74-year-old retiree and having my 45-year-old furnace replaced with a new energy efficient model is a blessing and all the folks at Five Stars were great. They even through in a wi-fi thermostat with a room monitor, which I really love. After I was told I had won their contest, a Five Stars rep came over and surveyed the monster in the basement and the rest of the house and set about determining the correct sized unit, which is very important. Then they scheduled the install for the next business day. The installers texted when they were on the way and arrived on-time at 9am and promptly got to tearing out the old furnace and installing the new one, and they had it up and running by 6pm. They were very courteous and did a great job at the install and clean-up. I retired from Port Columbus where I coordinated construction projects, so I know a good job when I see one.

I would not recommend Five Star Home Services. From the start, their communication was unclear about what the job actually included, and we ended up with several unexpected issues. After they finished, our house was left a mess, and the quality of work was disappointing. After promising to fix and issue with a pipe they created, two employees stopped by for ten minutes and told me "it is what it is." We ended up paying a drywall company $500 to work around their mistake. Very frustrating experience overall — definitely not the level of service we expected.

I had a great experience working with Five Star home services. Adam Elkins was the project manager, who helped me answer my queries regarding upgrading my old AC to New unit. He explained in great details, showed me variety of different options available and the difference between them, discussed with the price and all kind of finance options available to pay, once I decided to go ahead with the new AC. Their technician Cameron and Scott came in and did a fantastic job in replacing my old unit with a new one. All of them made the process very easy and I really appreciate the way it was done. I would recommend them for any future needs. Thanks!

5 star and specifically the HVAC tech Matt Anderson did a good job. He was efficient and performed clean up. It was a bit pricey but they did move a return duct. It was a small job and I understand there is a base proce for small jobs to be worth taking on. I am satisfied with the quality of work amd would recommend them to family and friends.

I had a really great experience with the service technician Nick S. He was kind, accommodating, and even checked the sewer line when I asked. He was not pushy or trying to upsell anything. He simply provided a clear invoice for the work I needed done. I truly appreciated his professionalism and helpful attitude. There were some challenges with getting the free checkup scheduled, but everything else was smooth and uneventful. I highly recommend 5-star for your plumbing needs!

Have been with 5 Star Home Services for many years. Their services are actually 5 stars. Their techs in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC have all been professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly informative. Their HVAC tech Will Jefferys went even beyond the 5 Star usual high standards. We would give a 6 star rating on a 5 point scale! We recently moved into an older old home and had inspections done in all three of 5 Star areas of service. Will came to inspect our HVAC and found several serious problems. One was a carbon monoxide issue with the furnace. We ended up needing and getting a completely new HVAC system. Will walked us through each item and showed us numerous choices. He prioritized the systems which would meet our needs as good better best. We discussed each along with cheaper options. At no time did he try to "sell." Thanks to Will we had a new system installed the next day.

Their service has really gone downhill over the last couple of years. I have an annual tune-up package for the furnace and A/C I bought from them in 2021, but lately every time I schedule an inspection, they end up canceling at the last minute. Once or twice would be understandable, but it’s happening pretty much every time. It’s a hassle to keep rearranging my schedule, so I’m not sure I’ll keep using them after I finish out what I already paid for. I'm not usually one to post bad reviews, but I thought others might want to know before buying one of their maintenance packages.
