Not only did he replace the faulty parts, but he explained how to maintain the system so it lasts longer. His calm demeanor and thorough work were exactly what we needed. It’s rare to find tradespeople this dedicated. We’re so thankful for their fast response and solid service. Would absolutely use them again.

My experience with YB Plumbing was a catastrophic failure, spanning over two months and costing me far more than the initial quote. I hired them to replace an old sump pump with a new, high-efficiency model and install a necessary backup battery system. Phase 1: The Initial Flub The technician who arrived seemed inexperienced. He installed the primary pump, but he used PVC fittings that were slightly the wrong size, causing a noticeable glugging noise every time the pump cycled. Worse, he incorrectly wired the backup battery system, leaving it non-functional. When I tested it during a small power outage, it failed. This was the sole reason I purchased the backup, and it didn't work. Phase 2: Failed Inspection and Delay Because the installation was part of a larger renovation, it required a municipal inspection. The YB Plumbing work failed the inspection because the discharge line was not properly sealed where it exited the house, and the vent pipe was not up to code (too short). We had to delay the rest of our basement work for two weeks, waiting for YB to return and fix their errors. Phase 3: Repairing the Repair A different technician finally returned. He fixed the wiring and corrected the piping errors, but he had to chip away at the concrete floor around the basin to adjust the vent. He left the large, heavy chunks of concrete debris just sitting in the yard and tracked concrete dust all through the house. When I complained about the mess, the office staff told me cleanup wasn't included in the service unless specifically requested and charged for. Conclusion I paid a premium price for what I expected to be a premium service. Instead, I received substandard installation that required two follow-up visits and delayed my entire home project. Their lack of quality control, accountability, and refusal to clean up their own mess make YB Plumbing & Hydro Jetting Services a company I would actively urge people to avoid. They cost me time, money, and peace of mind. Zero out of ten.

Where do I even begin? I called YB Plumbing to clear a serious main line clog, specifically requesting their hydro jetting service. They quoted me a reasonable price of $299 over the phone and promised a technician would arrive between 1 PM and 4 PM. The technician finally showed up at 6:30 PM with no call about the delay. Once he assessed the issue, the price suddenly jumped to $850! He claimed the initial quote was only for a "standard snake" and that actual hydro jetting required a totally different, more expensive package because of the pipe diameter. This is a classic bait-and-switch. To top it off, he didn't even have the proper jetting equipment on his truck and had to leave and come back an hour later. The final bill was egregious, the communication was non-existent, and the service was mediocre at best. Avoid YB Plumbing unless you enjoy wasting your time and money.
