R & L Plumbing

My condo manager contacted R & L to fix my kitchen sink water backing up problem. R & L technician worked half way and said he needed to get some different tools and he would come back in 30 minutes. My husband and I took turns to wait for his return. The R & L technician disappeared forever! He never came back and left us a damaged kitchen! He also stole our sink disposal blades! He used my cooking pot to hold his tools and made it stinky and I had to throw it away. My husband and I ended up spending 5 hours to wait for this guy! My husband got to work late and I came home early from work for this. R &L needs to cover our financial loss!

I called after hours on the weekend with a clogged toilet issue. I spoke with Saul who advised me because it was after hours the rate is doubled and if I could wait till the next day it would be less costly. I didn’t want to wait. Saul asked a few questions to access the issue. He advised me he would hate for me to pay double the money for an issue I might be able to solve on my on. He then gave me instructions on how to resolve the issue and said if I was not able to fix the issue I can call back to set up an appointment. I followed Saul’s instructions and cleared the issue. The customer service was exceptional. It was nice to deal with a company that puts customer service as a priority over money. I highly recommend R & L plumbing. Thanks again Saul!

Something weird is happening with plumbers in SF (it’s private equity, but that’s beside the point). Almost every plumber is using AI assistants to schedule appointments that they either call back and cancel, or never show up for. It’s miserable to be a customer these days. Not R&L. We called on a Saturday afternoon when we knicked a water line and I spoke to two humans. Before that, two 24/7 plumbers didn’t pick up, one scheduled an AI appointment and didn’t show, and our plumber from literally the day before canceled after 4 hours. Clifton showed up in the window, fixed the problem, and was very knowledgeable. It was a Saturday and we were expecting to pay some exorbitant fee for emergency overtime but it was the listed weekend amount on the website. Very fair. We haven’t gotten the bill but I will absolutely call them again.

Pricing: We called prior to the appointment. They told us they charge $209 per hour. The plumber came and found that the problem was actually pretty stupid: the hose for the dishwasher was down, not up, so it was leaking. He just put it up (took 1 min) and then run dishwasher for 15 min to see that the leaking stopped. After that he left pretty happy that it was such a easy job. The company sent a bill for $264. I guess it's extra for us calling for plumber to fix a 1 min job?

⭐️ One Star Extremely unprofessional experience today with RNL Plumbing on Mission Street. My neighbor was having work done, and the company brought what looked like a dozen work trucks that blocked both sides of the street, making it unsafe for cars and pedestrians. Several of the drivers were speeding and driving recklessly. Even worse, I overheard what appeared to be a manager—carrying donuts and coffee—make racially charged comments, including using the term "Peckerwood." Completely unacceptable behavior from any business, let alone one working in a residential neighborhood. I would never hire or recommend a company that allows this kind of disrespect and chaos.

Best plumbing company in the city! Our toilet wouldn’t flush on a Friday night. I called them and they came within the hour and fixed it perfectly. They took photos and documented everything too which is really detail oriented for them. The plumbers are all very friendly as well and very reasonably priced!

AMAZING Customer Service, follow through, working with the city on permits, showing up promptly and pricing. Calling, emailing & texting us every step of the way. On top of that they are extremely competent in their trade. Thank you Saul, Paula & Israel! I HIGHLY recommend R&L Plumbing.
