This past week I hired John P. Kennedy of Kennedy Roofing Specialists to redo a porch roof for Me. Shari and John fit Me into Their schedule right away, and the workmanship was top notch. These people are SO nice. I called and then realized I did not have an issue. After a couple telephone problems, they called to make sure I had my issue taken care of, as they didn’t get my message originally. They were so nice. They sound extremely itidesdionsl. They are the type that will not do or charge you for more than you actually need. To me that is very respectful. I would highly recommend this company

We read all the five-star reviews before hiring and thought they must be a good company. Regrets! Regrets! Regrets! The roofing job we received from Kennedy Roofing Specialists was not what we expected from a professional roofing company. I could make this review two pages long, but I will only hit the highlights. They left old nails and staples in the roof deck during the tear-off process. They didn’t show up with enough wood to make necessary repairs to some damaged/rotted wood areas. I had to give them extra wood that I had left over from a home improvement job I was doing. They actually left a piece of water damaged wood over our front porch and the owner, John Kennedy, had an initial response of denying it and saying that they never leave any "bad" wood on roofs. They did not demonstrate "good roofing practices". For example, they did not overlap ALL the hips of our hip roof while installing the underlayment for the new shingles. THEY DIDN’T EVEN USE NAILS TO ATTACH THE DRIP EDGE TO OUR DETACHED GARAGE AND HALF OF OUR HOME! Instead, they attempted to use T-50 staples with a tack hammer and many of the staples are bent and mangled because they could not fully pierce the drip edge and so our new shingles are resting on all this shrapnel. The side of our garage now has asphalt streaks and gouges in the vinyl siding from sloppy/careless shingle removal and clean-up. We chose CertainTeed Landmark PRO shingles and this roofing company didn’t even follow the manufacturer’s directions for installing them properly and also didn’t use the manufacturer recommended starter strips OR the recommended alternative starter strips!!!! This has caused the shingles to not "seal" down on an area on the front of the house. After finding so many issues we had to hire a home inspector to come out and officially document all of the deficiencies so we can proceed with getting this brand-new roof completely replaced by a different company that will do the job correctly this time. Learn from our mistake!!!! Save yourself time, money, and aggravation. DO NOT USE THIS ROOFING CONTRACTOR!

Extremely nice customer care and owner. Called with a insurance issue unrelated to them but they were knowledgeable about the situation and wanted to help. Came out that same day! I'd definitely recommend them and will use them in the future.

Great customer relations! The work was done on time and done very well. John is a walking "Angie's List" and can recommend other contractors for whatever work you may need! He and his wife, Shari, were absolutely great to work with. Shari provided us with addresses of the shingles we were interested in getting so we could actually see what they looked like on homes in the area. I highly recommend them!

Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Presented me with multiple options on how to do my roof and worked with me to find the best and most cost effective option. Roofers were extremely courteous, reported promptly the morning they were scheduled, and finished ahead of schedule with a perfect job! I wouldn't trust any else with my roofing needs. Quality doesn't cost, it pays!
