Honest Abe Roofing Fort Wayne

Do not hire Honest Abe’s Roofing Company unless you want to upset your neighbors and deal with unprofessional behavior. My next-door neighbor hired them to redo their roof on a Sunday in January, likely without proper permits. To make matters worse, they set up their trailer, materials, and even a fire pit in my front yard without asking for permission. When I confronted their boss about it, he brushed it off like it was no big deal. His idea of compensation? A $50 gift card to Texas Roadhouse. I told him the inconvenience was worth far more than that and insisted they clean up after themselves. However, when they left, they left behind a huge mess in my yard, including trash and—unbelievably—human waste. This company is inconsiderate, unprofessional, and has no respect for property boundaries. Steer clear. Edit in response: Your response to this isn't very honest of you Abe. This work was done by the South Bend branch of Honest Abes roofing. Throughout having this mess cleaned up I spoke with multiple people on the phone and the owner Jon showed up to my home banging on my front door demanding to talk. To say that you've tried to contact me to no avail is downright dishonest. In what way does a review like this look like your competition?

The job started right off the bat with Ryan responding the same day I requested an estimate. He didn't provide me an estimate, but did provide me with an exact cost for the job. He kept in contact with me letting me know when the job would be done. When I tell you this crew was fast and efficient, that is an understatement. They showed up by 6:45 am and they were off my property by 4:30 pm. They cleaned up so well that you would never know they were even there. The project manager Edgar walked around the property and addressed all of my concerns before leaving. Ryan went to all my neighbors making sure there were no problems with his crew or any property damage. There was only some small damage to the next door neighbors yard from their equipment and Ryan assured him that it will be repaired. This job was very professional from start to finish! Thank you to the entire crew for a job well done!

WOW. What service from this company. Nick really helped us out and did all the leg work with our insurance. It was an easy process. We just got roof done today and new skylight, it looks amazing. They definitely exceeded our expectations.

Edgar, the project manager was great to work with, he was able to come out on a holiday weekend to give us a quote. Financing was quick and easy to get approved. We were on the schedule for a week out, but another customer had to reschedule, so we took their place. So from getting the quote to having the job finished in 2 days. The team was quick and efficient. They showed up at 7am and had the job done by 4:30pm. Even with part of the house having a flat roof. They made sure to have everything tarped so nothing got in the grass. I was at work during the job and Edgar sent me videos of the progress throughout the day. Our roof was in worse shape then we thought and needed 18 more osb boards then we were charged, but the price was locked in with what we had already agreeded on. They didnt charge for the extra materials they needed. When they left you couldn't even tell they were there other then the new roof and dumpster full. Over all they did a great job!

From start to finish it was a breeze. We inquired a few quotes before Honest Abe and this company is WORTH IT. Ryan was our roof advisor and he was in contact through the entire project. The roofers were extremely fast and cleaned the area well. They even offered to finish up on a Sunday. My roof looks amazing. Thanks everyone! The roofers also seemed to actually enjoy what they were doing so that was really nice to see as well. Highly recommend!

Great experience with everyone at Honest Abe. Tyler did a great job getting us set up with the roofing we were looking for. He went above and beyond by helping us with an insulation issue we had in our attic with improperly blown insulation. The crew did a great job on the roof and cleaned up so you’d never know they were there.

Excellent quality and professionalism, they give a price and that is what you pay regardless of any complications or additional factors. They finished my roof in 6 hours total out the door. Highly recommended and Ethan was a very good rep to work with.
