Stay Dry Roofing

Update....... 11/7/19 They are charging for things they didn't do and the insurance company did not pay. They have creepy scammers (an attorney office said they couldn't help me because these aren't real debt collectors calling me) calling and texting. They have not adjusted their bill to reflect items done by the gutter company or the "high roof" and dumpster load charges. Ongoing headache. Money appears to be their prime objective, not customer service. I also have not gotten my Starbucks gift card. Not only does the email say I will get one, but Carl Smith told me he would send one and hasn't. Maybe you only get one if they like your review??? Be careful!!! First they wanted me to pay for the job the day before they began, I said, "no". Once the roof was done and it rained I had a leak because they did not put on new flashing, as they said they would. After many attempts to speak with someone, I called the main office and was told they would call to set up a time when I could be here, to come and replace the old flashing on the patio overhang with new. I was out of town for two weeks and when I returned they had apparently done the "work" without my being here or aware that they were on my property in my absence. The pictures below are what they did. Awful! They slapped pieces together and put lots of silicone on top (and missed one section altogether). The wood was not primed or painted and now I am hiring someone else to repair their 'efforts'. Their final bill just arrived and it is quite a bit more than the insurance paid (I was told my cost would be what the insurance company paid) and included gutter work which they did not do (I hired a gutter company for that portion of the job). I would not recommend this company as it was extremely difficult to communicate with them at every juncture and I do not find them to be honest.

I hired Stay Dry Roofing for roof installation and gutter installation in April. I had sourced a handful of quotes for the project and Stay Dry offered the most competitive pricing. They were also able to schedule the project within one-two weeks of the estimate. For the duration of the project I worked with Jeremy, Andrew and Edgar. All three were professional, responsive and candid. My home had a metal roof that had been improperly installed and was in need of a tear-off and replacement. Similarly, the gutters were in bad shape and needed to be replaced. I opted for asphalt shingles and a covered gutter system. The roof was replaced in a day. The crew was phenomenal! They did a job excellent cleaning up—not a single nail was left behind. The gutters took a little longer. They were waiting on materials to ship. There was a miscommunication with scheduling but the situation was rectified quickly and professionally. Installation was completed in a day. The crew had to come back a few days later to install the gutter guards as they were out of stock when the other materials came in. The finished product is phenomenal. Overall, I am very happy with the quality of work provided by Stay Dry Roofing and their crews. I highly recommend their services.

This is an updated review: It took a while to get here but our project was completed the way it was originally described to me. Staffing changes and some communication issues had our very simple gutter repair fall through the cracks. I'm very appreciative that Dan reached out and spent time listening to my frustrations and then quickly resolved the issues I had with the service we had received. I definitely felt like I had stepped into another situation where we had hired a company that was just going to take our money and not care about the quality of the work completed (I have a long list at this point in homeownership . . . ) However, Dan spoke to this exact problem with the industry and talked about making sure that Stay Dry Roofing was true to their word when working with customers. I feel comfortable recommending them to others, and I'm happy with the work that was completed on our home.

Stay Dry Roofing was able to replace my roof at a very affordable rate. They worked well with me and my insurance company on getting my roof replaced quickly and were able to get the job done with my only out of pocket expense being my deductible. I would recommend Stay Dry Roofing for anyone looking to get their roof replaced especially if you are having an insurance claim. Stay Dry Roofing was able to come out and quote the job shortly after I called them following the storm damage. They were then able to match my new roof color with that of my old roof. The job was complete in less than 48 hours, and they made sure to clean up the job site thoroughly before they left. They catered to my needs and schedule when working with me, and should I know someone that needs their roof replaced I will recommend Stay Dry Roofing!
