From the first conversation to the final walk-through, Jake was professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He took the time to explain the entire roofing process in clear, simple terms, and made sure I felt confident every step of the way. Jake handled everything with efficiency—he worked directly with my insurance company, kept me updated throughout the project, and followed through on every promise. His attention to detail and dedication to making sure the job was done right really stood out. What really sets Jake apart is his customer-first attitude. I hired Bold North Roofing to repair hail damage on my home and expected clear communication and guidance throughout the insurance process. Instead, my experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. After Bold North began communicating with my insurance company, my adjuster stopped working with them because they were requesting additional line items that had not been approved. I was informed directly by the adjuster that these requests were not acceptable and that he would no longer communicate with Bold North. From that point forward, I reached out to Bold North four times over two months with questions and concerns and received no meaningful follow-up: 7/1 – Project completed (per the Certificate of Completion). 9/11 – Texted sales rep asking about emails from insurance stating they would no longer be communicating with Bold North regarding this claim. No response. 9/15 – Called the main office; told a project manager would contact me. No one did. 9/29 – Called again; told the same thing. No call back. 10/14 – Received a text requesting I sign the completion document. I told them I never received it, asked for it to be resent, and again asked for someone to update me on the status. I was told my message would be forwarded. No one followed up. Despite multiple attempts to get clarity, every update I received came from my adjuster, not Bold North—leaving me to navigate the process entirely on my own as someone going through this for the first time. I ultimately filed a BBB complaint, and only then did someone from Bold North finally contact me. Even then, I received excuses, no accountability, and no sincere apology before being asked for payment. I have screenshots and documentation of all communication attempts, dates, and lack of follow-up to support this review. The work itself was completed, but Bold North’s lack of communication, lack of follow-through, and failure to support me during the insurance process created unnecessary stress and additional work on my part. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company.

As much as I don't like to spend money on storm damage repairs, working with Calvin Benedict made this experience a smooth one. He was easy to contact and his responses to text and emails were great. He was able to keep us in the loop during the roofing and siding work being done. I appreciated his honesty, and the effort he put in making sure inspections with adjusters were complete. I worked with Riley. Great guy, super personable and communicative. He was very clear about the process through an insurance claim, and was updating me regularly on the progress. Bold North did a great job with the full roof replacement and handled everything with a less than cooperative insurance company.

I’ve had a good experience so far working with Riley and Bold North team replacing my roof and siding from hail damage. I only need their electrician to install my lights and outlets to complete my project. Riley spent time with me at the beginning of the process explaining the upcoming processes and what to expect, suggesting options, and dealing with the insurance adjuster on my claim. He promptly answered my questions and got me a number of samples to consider for the repair. Riley and the Bold North crew worked fast replacing my roof- (one day to remove and replace). The Bold north Crew also removed and installed my siding in only 1 1/2 days. Riley took care of a concern I had with lighting trims and brought to my house the next day the replacement boxes for my lighting fixtures the next day. I appreciate the speed and professionalism that Bold North and Riley showed during the entire process. To contrast how good Bold North is at conducting buisness , My neighbors contractor started siding replacement aprox. 1-2 weeks before my replacement started and they have yet to finish my neighbors project. Bold North Roofing was absolutely fantastic! We had hail damage and were also adding an addition, so timing for the new roof was critical and unpredictable with springtime weather. Calvin was exceptional to work with, assuring us they'd be ready when our framers finished – and he delivered! The crew was on-site with very short notice and completed everything in one long day. The cleanup was thorough, and we were incredibly impressed with their professionalism, speed, and quality. Highly recommend!

After several months of navigating a challenging claims process with my previous insurance provider—despite having switched to a new insurer four months earlier to reduce my premiums—Jake Oxindale at Bold North Roofing successfully advocated on my behalf and secured approval for a hail damage claim from the prior summer. As a result, my roof was fully replaced, including the repair of several leaks around the roof vents, which were addressed by replacing all of them.
