Cannot recommend Five Star enough, was extremely satisfied with their roofing services. Had a terra cotta roof which needed some work - if you know this roofing style, you're probably familiar with how difficult it is to find a good roofer comfortable working with this material. As soon as I spoke to Nick, he walked me through the entire process: carefully removing old tiles, replacing the underlayment beneath with a high quality product, and installing new tiles that would be good for another century. He was upfront about pricing and how much deposit would be needed to start the job. He assured me that every step of the process he would give me photo updates and explain exactly what's going on. Nick held to every word. His team was able to work the project as scheduled, he provided regular updates, and was very detailed about next steps when the work involved turned out to be a bigger scope than originally anticipated. Given that it was terra cotta, the full job was by no means cheap, but Nick graciously walked me through all expenses and showed me how it was all going into the job. Moreover, he was able to finish the work across a weekend when rain was predicted for Monday, when originally we were scheduled for 4-5 days of work. He consistently under-promised and over-delivered. As someone who works in a related industry, I can really appreciate this level of communication and attention to detail. I would gladly recommend Nick and his team at Five Star for any kind of roofing job, but particularly for tile/heritage roofs.
