Every person that I interacted with was very professional & knowledgeable. Ryan took his time to do the assessment, walk us through exactly what needed to be done, & helped us prioritize. Brad spoke to me numerous times, at length over the phone, making sure I understood each step of the process, explaining in great detail the end result that I could expect & everything in between. Juan & his crew were very friendly & hardworking; they showed up exactly when they said they would, brought things to our attention & made sure to clean up after themselves each day. It took me well over a year to find a company that is equipped to work on an old slate roof & I can honestly say it was worth the wait!! Now I feel like I can rest easy whenever it rains & have confidence that our roof will no longer leak. I cannot thank Century Slate enough! 10 out of 5 stars!

Century Slate did a wonderful job installing a copper roof on my European-inspired garden shed. From my initial engagement with John Walter and review of Century Slate's website, I determined that they would be a possible contender for the job. However, it was my exchanges with Brad Schaefer, Director of Operations, that convinced me Century Slate was the right company for this project. Thanks to Brad's expert knowledge and client friendly approach, I was able to navigate the various issues associated with this unique roof. When it came time to execute the installation, Century Slate was ready and dispatched an experienced team. Thomas and Val - did a masterful job over several days in brutal heat and oppressive humidity. A real testament to their professionalism. I could not be more pleased with the outcome. Century Slate is a premier specialty roof company and receives my wholehearted endorsement.

Century Slate in Durham NC was a terrible experience. They sent an employee out to our property that spoke of unprofessional things. Brad the owner did not get our measurements to the chimney company so 2 months later when we were supposed to have a finished product we find out it hasn’t been started. I have nothing good to say about that company

Century Slate repaired my roof after surveying it with a drone and physically examining the area of disrepair. The proposal was presented using high definition photographs and a detailed description including the cost! Work was efficient and effective; repairing our damaged area; there were no cost additives which you sometimes get with other companies. Century Slate is a very professional and honest company.

Century Slate Company did a great job on my roofing work! I contacted them for copper and slate work, and it turned out beautiful! Everyone I spoke to was so helpful in answering all of my questions. They also were able to complete the work on time, despite a few set backs with the weather! I would recommend them to anyone!

After reading the other review here I needed to write my own. I have had nothing but wonderful experiences with Century Slate as have many others I know. Every job they've done for me has been conducted with professionalism and with quality product (not used product). They outlined everything they were going to do ahead of time and followed through on time, if not ahead of schedule. While there was perhaps one or two glitches along the way, they were addressed and fixed immediately. In fact there were several times they went above and beyond to fix things that they didn't even have anything to do with (things that were masonry or contractor issues) saving me the trouble of having to deal with another person to get things right. I would recommend them to everyone needed slate, copper or other roofing needs. They also make gorgeous kitchen vent hoods! You will not be disappointed.
